I'm not correcting you, but the reason for some of the backing vocals being the way they were on Girls x 3 was they wanted to make the Filthy Habbits . Lead singers and let them record their own albums. I know one of them did do that, but not sure if both did. One married Mick and stole all of his money and ran off.

On Nikki Sixx , he is always credited as the primary song writer .. but i don't believe this guy was the song writer musically . He wrote most all the lyrics , no question . But somehow was able to take credit for the music as well . As an example shows him alone credited for Louder than Hell . That intro riff is in the style of Ritchie Blackmore , Deep Purple just happened to be one of Mick's biggest influences . Listen to the very end of his solo from Take me to the Top , it's from the solo in Highway Star . And recently Mick was asked what "riff" are you most proud of ? He said Louder than Hell . So right there it proves what i've always suspected . Don Dokken has even come forward and said he's been buddies with Mick since Vendetta , and when Motley Crue began . And most of this stuff came from Mick . It all makes sense as Sixx could barley play when they formed , And didn't have the rhythm sense to come up with riffs like Live wire , Too Young to Fall in Love etc . Imo musically Mick and Tommy made this band .

He also claims to have been a massive heroim addict who kept a diary everytime he used. As a former addict myself, trust me when I say he's a bold faced liar and didn't keep a diary. You don't sit and write about your feeling when high on heroin. You can barely hold a pen, let alone write if you are serious about your addiction.

Nikki wrote the lyrics and he also would write the music on most of their songs also. It’s been no secret that Nikki would come up with different ideas musically and show Mick and then mick would do his thing. It really amazes me how the public thinks how the music and songs are constructed and developed. Nikki was not only the main song writer but the guy had a vision of what he wanted for the band and he worked his ass off to achieve that and now recently some morons are talking as if Nikki didn’t do anything. I’ve been a fan since ‘82 and they might not be what they used to be but it’s hard to play rock and roll music when you’re in your 60’s and 70’s. This band deserves their flowers for what they had to endure through their careers…If this band doesn’t get into the rock n roll hall of fame then why call it rock n roll hall of fame. SERIOUSLY EVERYONE NEEDS TO VOTE MOTLEY CRUE INTO THE ROCK AND ROLL HALL OF FAME EVERY YEAR UNTIL THEY ATE IN. We need real rock and roll elected into the hall instead of all this pop non rock and roll music. ✌🏼

Yeah, there's some very old rocumentaries when they're all talking about writing for Dr. Feelgood and it was Bob Rock getting on Micks case that brought out the majority of the riffs on that album. I'm sure Nikki was like, we need a whoa yeah in there! Nikki's na fucking ass, and does not deserve to be in any hall of fame. "Music to crash your car to" should disqualify them from any type of "honors"

what bothers me the most about this and Nikki once being a hero of mine is the fact that Nikki got a full on portrait tattoo of Mick on his thigh and when he showed Mick the tattoo he told Mick you are my hero and it got all mushy. like what happened Nikki? why did you turn on him. Tommy, Nikki and Vince were trying to replace him years ago. I grew up in the 80's. seen Crue 7 times. Mick was always on point.

🤔 Some Conservative Christians like some Mötley Crüe music 🎶 too!‼️Remember when Michael Jordan said, "Republicans buy sneakers, too" ?⁉️ Brilliant statement, and important to remember in life, and most certainly in business, too!‼️ Interesting, and thought provoking video. P.S. Tommy Lee is so much more than some people think he is. Extremely talented, can play multiple instruments 🎹 🎸 🥁( many more than drums only ), plus he can sing 🎤, has great personality and stage presence, can be hilariously funny, can act well, and what hardly anyone talks about is how big is heart is ( he’s a nice guy ), and probably very misunderstood by many, but that’s okay, as it keeps things mysterious. As far as age goes, there’s no reason for any of them to go sit in a corner and slobber or something. Ageism is ridiculous!‼️

The more a person, or band brags about themselves, the less likely any of it is true. Now we find out Sixx didn't play on albums, all of them but mars seem ok with faking it live, and the interviews they used to do in hit parader were mega cringe at the time. Add to that the "contract" for the final tour that wasn't final, and their current dumb dramas, the band has always been a joke to me, and the ship sailed long ago on "quitting while they are ahead".

They were my favorite band when I was a child, and now they are my favorite rock and roll clowns. I now kinda think of them as the "stagetory rape anthem" band. Examples: All in the Name of... "she's only 15, she's the reason, the reason I can't sleep. You say illegal, I say, legal's never been my scene." Slice of your Pie - "so young, ever get caught, they'll arrest me." Dragstrip Superstar - "Jailbait playmate....underage penetrate." She Needs Rock and Roll - "she's an underage angel with a dented halo." (This one is admittedly less overt) I might be able to forgive the cheeky misogyny of glam as just fun, but this theme of Nikki Sixx hooking up with children in his music is perhaps worthy of deeper consideration? I still love so much of their music and could nerd out deep into their catalog, I know more about this band than I'd care to admit, but it is kind of weird right? I don't remember too many lines from Poison, Warrant, GnR, or even Sir Mix-A-Lot about how the booty they were chasing was a felony. Maybe that's part of Mötley's edge. I dunno. Also, Vince could NEVER sing live. A cousin told me, in 1990, after seeing them on the Feelgood tour, "it's kinda weird how Vince sings. He sings, like, every other word. It's hard to explain. But it was awesome. CRÜÜÜÜÜE!!!!!"

Mick was the music writer, and Nikki learned to write , but Mick reallly was behind the name, the dark image and he had his brother in law throwing tons of money which was probably a big reason why they were selling out Santa Monica Civic after only selling out clubs . And I was right there when Motley started started, having met Nikki while he was in the band London, which I was in for about 3 days because it wasn't what I was looking for. Anyway, you get a few things wrong, but then again you discovered crue while playing that stupid computer game that has nothing to do with actually playing guitar, but your a kid and at least you like Motley Crue, just remember, it's all Mick, don't put too much into that who’wrote what, even if it says it on the album!

You're not wrong. Motley does get a free pass from Metal fans (or used to), because that's how a lot of use metal fans in our 50's got introduced to metal. 1983 was an exciting year for hard rock and metal. It was Ozzy, Judas Priest, Maiden, Quiet Riot and Motley Crue. Unfortunately they refer to "Shout at the devil" as "accidentally" stumbling on to Heavy Metal🙄. But at the time, that was the number one record you had in your metal collection that everyone was talking about. It was all over by Theater of Pain.

I was never a fan of Ashlee Simpson. But it's starting to irritate me how much she gets made fun of for that. I laughed at her, too, but it was unfair. Just about every TV show forces performers to mime for TV performances. It's more for the audience at home than in the studio. The bands also perform more than one song, but only one gets aired. Only the most famous and well-known acts can push their way around the lyp-syncing stuff. It's a production thing that the bands usually get no say over. So it wasn't really her fault.

Imho I think they should have stuck to that no more touring cessation. But for real they always said that it would be the 4 of them till the end. What thev'e done to poor Mick is just unforgivable. John 5 is a great guitarist. But Mick should be allowed to record any new material like he intended. And use John 5 for touring. Vince should do his vocal excercises & take it easy w the liquor. I love the Crüe but they should just stop it's not fair to the fans.

They were the very best of the he '80's. I saw the carnival of sins tour ('05) in Utah and bought the DVD. I witnessed Tommy and Nikki both using backing tracks that night. I could forgive Vince if he did, he sucked that bad. They should have retired with some dignity. Instead they chose to suck the integrity of their art bone dry, leaving their fans ashamed of ourselves for supporting them. I view them more of a stand up comedy show of themselves more than a band with any sense of rock & roll. I can forgive them as they are only mortal men and nonetheless accomplished more than myself. As a fan I would support them more if they stayed in the studio and kept their promise to retire somewhat true. To do Nick the way they did proves they don't care about anything else than money.

Yes they were huge in their day you can't take it away from them. What's their staying power? When the dirt came out everybody loved it. People like to look back on it now and enjoy in retrospect. Mad respect to the Crue for being the only band in the history of earth to be well beyond their 40's NOT to sellout by mellowing out! Yes! Even RnR legends Elvis, The Beatles, The Who, Ledzepplin, even Def Leppard, and especially Bon Jovi to name a few ALL sold-out either jump from Rock to Country or go full blown cheesed out Pop Rock. Motley fkn Crue now in their 50s & 60s have ALWAYS evolved their sound through the years and are literally writing their BEST music with a heavier edge...( hence ALL BAD THINGS, THE DIRT, DOGS OF WAR) which I, personally, have been waiting to hear from them since Sht At The Dvl... I have to say that I am so very impressed with your knowledge and loving the genre. Nikki’s book Heroin dairies is an amazing book. Tommy Lee has always been my least favorite person from the band’s. He has a sister who is an awesome drummer and a kick ass woman. She was married to James Kottak the drummer of Scorpions. RIP he died Jan 2024. Tommy hasn’t been in contact with her or her family for many years. You can see her on a show called Ex wives of rock. Tommy was engaged to Bobbie Brown( cherry pie and Jani lanes ex wife.) Bobbie introduced him to Pam Anderson and after he broke up with her he married Pam in 4 day’s. He is also been arrested for Abuse of Pam and his son by her. I am sorry to people who don’t agree but it is known as hair metal. Look it up on here also glam. I understand about the 70s but it seems it just stuck with this genre and 80s bands. Mick is definitely one of the most underrated guitars of all time.

The death of Razzle effected Vince so deeply that soon after he got out of jail, he started to drink and drive again and has continued to do so till this day C'mon dude! Don't give us that "kids today are so sensitive" crap about this particular incident Any normal person would go to prison for years for the same thing; not to mention that Razzle was not the only victim - there were two other people involved in the accident who were left paralysed for life but nobody ever mentions them cause they were poor, ordinary people Vince should've been in prison for years And no, that accident was clearly not a wake-up call for him nor was the death of his daughter - like I said he continues to drink and drive till this very day I feel no sympathy for him whatsoever and the people saying he should be jail and that he got off easy are 100% correct

I hate that Skid Row got dragged down with the rest of the 80s stuff. Always thought they were much closer to Guns N Roses than Poison (CC can shred but just no). Their self titled had some great songs and Slave to the Grind, the title track especially, was taking the "make it heavier" route of Pantera as opposed to the Metallica route of "let's name the band after a genre and stop playing that style". Bach is an asshole for sure but his vocals during that period were amazing and I feel like he could have given us an interesting take on the lower, growling vocal style that was really taking off at the time. Plus he's one of the few people who could hit those stupid high notes and not sound ridiculous. As great as Halford is I always thought his upper range just sounded silly. The one time Tom from Slayer did it I thought it sounded stupid. Not even the great Phil Anselmo could do it and I think he was aware of it. Cemetery Gates is awesome but the high pitched wails at the end detract from the song. Cowboys was the last album they had him sing like that. Sebastian always sounded great though no matter how high he got.

Hey man! I've been watching a bunch of your videos, and I'm curious. After seeing your video on Cancel Culture, and What's Wrong with Dragonforce, would you consider doing a video on Iced Earth? The rhythm guitarist/founding member, Jon Schaffer, was involved in the insurrection at the US Capital building in 2021. I still sometimes listen to Iced Earth's music from way back, but his actions have left a bad taste in my mouth. I was just wondering what your opinions about all that would be. I mean, his career is over after all that. But, the band Iced Earth has an interesting history (more lineup changes than even Megadeth), so I was just curious as to your opinion. I'm probably the only person asking for this kinda video. But still, it could be interesting.

I allude a little to Iced Earth in the beginning of the "sequel" to the Cancel Culture video called "How Saying Something 'Aged Poorly' is Anti-Art", and there's also a moment in Worst Songs of 2021 where I make fun of a really stupid parody song made about Iced Earth after the fact. As for if I plan on doing a WWW on them, I'm not sure if that's something I want to do considering not only have I been trying to make my videos less political, the only real point of contention about them is just Jon Schaffer's presence at the Capitol riot. The TL;DR of what I think is that Schaffer really didn't do anything at all at the Capitol other than scream and point in that picture. There's no evidence of him contributing to the riot beyond that, and although I understand that it was probably a necessary PR move, I think it's unfortunate that the record label and all of his bandmates, including Hansi Kursch who played in Demons & Wizards with him, turned their backs on him. I'm sure there's plenty to critique about Schaffer's political views, but it's unfortunate things played out the way they did.

@@RanterInShadesI hear ya. There were points of contention with the albums Framing Armageddon and The Crucible of Man, aka the "Something Wicked Concept Albums." A lot of fans didn't like them. As for the whole Capital Building thing, here's a video that kinda outlines his involvement: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/Zrl4drmay9jcdY0.html I THINK I remember seeing a video of him using the bear spray on people, but my memory could be wrong. Either way, this video does show what laws he was accused of breaking. But, I understand that you don't wanna get political in the WWW series. I just discovered your channel today, and I'm loving what I've seen so far! Keep up the great work! I especially love that you express your opinions without being a condescending asshole towards anyone who disagrees with you!
