Glad to see X Trail won! I have a Sentra and the engine is very quiet! it has CVT by the way and it's 11 years old, the aircon is so cold up to now. Best bang for the buck! It's also nice to see people who enjoy their Honda CRV. competition is healthy as long as there's no bashing. Peace everyone!

Good review. However I decided to choose older Trail because of the boot, and a lot of storage places :) I really love this car and still wouldn't change it on the newest model :)

This is an excellent review and presentation. The effort to translate into English for the 'World consumption' is a great effort. Thanx. I've personally driven both 'Old' x-trail and CR-V for a period of time. I am positive the X-Trail is a much nicer car to drive and much more capable in day to day events. Comfortably handles humps and bumps and it's just a lot more pleasant a car to drive then the CR-V. Though the CR-V has less roll on the corners due to it's stiffer suspension. But that doesn't increase the pleasure because of it's other characters. But I haven't had the change to try both the new ones though.

Honda maybe slower or less refined from the competition but what makes me always get a Honda is their drivability and how easy it maneuvers dangerous situations. This is a really really important feature when you want to steer away from dangerous situation which I had many times during driving a Honda. Love the driving dynamics of a Honda and stability during high speed.

Excellent comparative review and test.. makes one really see the muscles of these cars. My personal fav has been the new 2015 X-trail since a year now.. as an old 2006 driver of the previous version I would never hesitate to go for the new one in a heartbeat after this review.

I purchased a 2014 CRV last year, hands down best purchase ever. Deff would recommend it to anyone.

For X-trail you need the top of the range, and with bigger engine. Had 2017 x-trail1.6d for few months,very underpowered and plastic is cheap. Loved the leather trims and 360 camera’s, every car need to have them

please include specs and if the cars were driving in sports mode and in all wheel drive mode or 2wd? i know the x-trail have the option of choosing but not sure about the cr-v. i currently own the 2015 x-trail but i am trying to sell it because of the CVT sound it makes and most of all the poor visibility which makes it very difficult to use in my country. i have previously owned the old cr-v which i loved because of the handling and amazing brakes also best visibility. please also include info on brakes and the emergency braking system which the x-trail has and it is useful when parking or turning around in a tight spot. more info on the technology system they are packed in is also something that would make the reviews perfect. thanks for video. i enjoyed watching it. cheers.

I would like to see the hill sand test for CRV 2015 same as for the CRV 2013 vs forster vid. I think the new AWD firmware and new AWD differential oil, have increased the torque send to the rear wheels, but I need to see this in order to be sure, but please remember to have VSA off and ECON mode off too. The Econ mode on cuts engine power. You forgot it on when tested with Subaru Forester when off road. Also please ask honda to produce a lock mode to its AWD system for better off road capabilities at low speeds (above 40km/hr to disengage automatically) i.e when VSA button is pressed to off the AWD lock mode engages. Thanks
