the concept of returning used or opened makeup is only in the U.S. it does not exist in the UK where they take back only unopened products that too sometimes not always. Also, even though you do save money on returning the product please remember that it will go into trash from Ulta or Sephora. So you are just adding to the landfill

I use expired facial skincare as foot creams 😂 And old facial oils I use as nail cuticle oils 💅🏼

Mix the highlighter with some body spray or oil and it’s body glitter And turn lipsticks into tents by mixing it with glycerin or Vaseline

You can also use pigments from your eyeshadow Palette as other makeup items by mixing it with a different medium With setting spray = eyeliner lip balm = lipstick/cream blush With clear polish = nail polish I'd be hard pressed to find an eyeshadow color I wouldn't use on my nails!

Most of those associates don't even care. They get their paycheck regardless. Sephora and Ulta associates have voluntarily told me, when I was unsure about buying something, that I can return it if I don't like it as long as there is at least 75% of the product is left. $50 plus for a makeup/skin care you don't like needs to go back! That's money wasted, especially if you're someone like me who spends upward of $1K a year at Sephora. They never give me a problem.

People look at me like I'm nuts when I tell them they can return makeup/skincare. No shame in my game lol😆 Sephora and Ulta associates have voluntarily told me, when I was unsure about buying something, that I can return it if I don't like it as long as there is at least 75% of the product left. $50 plus for makeup/skin care you don't like needs to go back! Personally they don't give me a problem cuz I practically live in those stores LoL.

I spent £35 on the Morphe x Jeffree Star palette, and the formula is so bad...I've had it since like, July though and Morphe's return policy is only 30 days! I might just sell it or donate it! Great idea for a video, Sara.

Several years ago I returned a used makeup item to Sephora and the employee there was shocked. She “let” me, but she was not happy about it. That was in a mid-size town. I just don’t think she had experience with that before haha

😳 oh my gosh that makes me so frustrated! There’s no reason for them to act like they’re doing you some sort of favor by adhering to their policies 😩 I’ve checked their site & asked in store & their policy is to refund a new or gently used item up to 60 days after purchase & give a gift card 61-90 days after purchase. Thankfully I’ve never had trouble, but I’m sorry that sounds like a negative experience 🙁❤️
