The river is one of the most popular spots to go to on a hot summer day. The parks in Japan look so beautiful! No trash, perfect lawn, cozy pretty places to relax with enough shade. I'm jealous! 😁

Those long, lazy summer days of childhood are the best! I remember a dirt road and an elbow-deep ditch full of crystal clear mountain springwater and waiting for my dad to get home from work, when me and my brother would run up the road to meet him so we could jump in the back of his pickup truck and ride back down with him! And picking blackberries from the bush and eating them and going fishing all day at the creek! Oh! The sweet summer memories! And your kids are making those memories now! Something they'll look back on when their hair has turned gray and smile. 🩷🩷

That might be similar to the U.K. For England and Wales the students break up at the end of July for their summer holidays and go to school at the beginning of September. September is the start of the new school year so everyone moves to the next year instead of April. They also have six week style terms. The term starts in September. There is a week holiday at the end of October called Half term. The the students have two weeks holiday for Christmas and New Years in December/ January. They start back in January and there is a half term week in February. They have two weeks holiday for the Easter period. There is a half term week at the end of May/ beginning of June. Then the school year finally ends in July. They don’t have a long summer like the states but they get little breaks over the school year instead.
