Narcissists can't love themselves; they can't love at all. The just love a good image, which is fake anyway. They live in a dead world, a world that won't grow and relate. A cold, isolated world of fear, pride, hate and destruction. This is my heartbreaking realization. Being in their world is not good for anyone.

The mind boggles when you realise how these people can completely disappear when you wise up to their game and don't give them what they want any more. If you don't get stalked or hoovered, count it as a blessing. They know you know.

I left a narc over 1 year ago and in the end I swear I was looking at a sick stranger. And yes Andrew, looking back I noticed how others would look at him in a strange way. Why was I so naive. My energy was completed depleted and I couldn't see the light. Today, I can't believe how far I've come in my healing journey. I'm so grateful I got my life back. I had no idea these evil sick twisted people are around us.

So good. The narcs definitely work hard to get their supply and then they stop working and we end up doing double, triple, quadruple the energy output to compensate. The fact that they never really loved me is ALMOST as surreal as the fact they are now gone ! As empaths our weakness , apart from trusting the wrong people , is presuming others think and operate the same ways we do , they don't ! I was shocked when I realised what their game was and also how they really saw me . I didn't want to accept the fact that they never give me the love and respect I craved and that they would always see themselves as superior and all knowing and would always see me as a lasser or secondary person . I surprised both them AND myself when I finally threw in the towel after twenty years of their supercilious nonsense ! I realise now I was only ever temporary supporting cast in the fabulous show that was supposed to be their life ! I was there to make them feel better about themselves and help promote the fake persona they desperately presented to the rest of the world . All about status , all about show , all about being SO much better than everyone else ! Looking back it confuses me that I was ever taken in by then in the first place , but I guess their ability to read me , tune in , and then start to rewire me is something I was never prepared to deal with , until now ! Someone who had no idea what a narcissist was at all. It's a rough way to learn. Once one goes through a toxic dangerous relationship as such. The signs are as plain as day. Thank you for your education, direction, & warnings.

They test the waters, especially in romantic relationships. It starts out where they build you up, attentive to your needs, compliments galore, appear that they really care about you and falling in love with you. But they are never the first to say those 3 little words. Once they’ve got you on their hook the magic starts to fade and supply seeking explodes! Confusion sets in and you’re relentless in trying to find that wonderful person again, giving them whatever they want thinking that will jump start the passion that will never be because it’s all a disguise!

My friend I don't think it's that they wanted us to fall in love with them, they don't know love. They want us to need them more than we want to leave. They know we try to make it work, they count on that so they exploit it as love. It's not. I hope one day I will understand what a real love is. ❤

The need to be in control of everything in their environment means that they need to take down any potential competition and turn the potential threat into a groupie or a cheerleader, failing to achieve this they will turn you into a mortal enemy & single you out for destruction.

I think the proper word for the narcissist's actions is sabotage. I thought the narcissist was a friend and partner while they were at war with me and sabotaged me.

Sometimes it's better to stay away from them, even in your own family relationships! Protect your life!

This narcissist, who I divorced recently because I was tired of being married to someone who only was using me, well seems like he's trying to circle back...lol..No thanks, don't want to go another round. The person I married, who I thought he was, that person no longer exists. It was him with the mask. The person I know him to be, now that the mask has slipped, is not someone I want around. Don't need to even be friends with someone who only talks to me when they want something and half of what comes out of their mouth is lies.

Total predators. It's beyond sick because they're the 1st to criticize others for exactly what they do. I've watched & listened to the embarrassing lack of maturity. No contact has been a relief. It's the best route, when possible. They want a doormat. They need to be the center of every situation. I heard this & it's 100% true: The narcissist woman is the bride at the funeral & the corpse at the wedding. I had the mother, sister, bff as narcissists. Typical convenience because they know nobody outside their net will tolerate their awful ways. Nor will I.

Great video Andrew. Yes My ex narcissist was definitely just in the relationship to get as much out of me as he could. He was a parasite pure and simple. He drained my finances, he drained my energy my self esteem he tried to destroy me, in the end his daily goal was to see how much he could hurt me with his actions and his words and physically also. When i say that when i was discarded i had nothing i really mean nothing. I had no money wasn't working because of the pandemic and had just lost my apartment on the day he discarded me. I had nobody to call my family wouldn't talk to me. No friends lost those too. On that day we were outside in the street i asked him what are we going to do now. He said oh we will be ok i won't leave you alone. He made a phone call and a guy pulled up he got in the car didn't say a word to me and drove away. I was alone and scared he ignored my calls. I was devastated i wanted to die i almost did. But through the kindness of strangers i survived and I chose to leave and never looked back. I disappeared. I have pretty much recovered my finances and I have a good job and a place to live. It's been tough and a long journey but i survived. In my case, the narcissistic abuser was my female boss. So sly in concealing, and I had never had a narcissistic boss before, that I kept making excuses for them, even though I knew something wasn't right. After 10 years and able to retire, I closed the door and am happier now than ever. Much more energy. Went no contact for a year now. Thank you Andrew for teaching us about these sick people!

My mother, a supreme narcissist was very concerned every time I was sick because she was concerned about herself....when I was little she was concerned that people would consider her a failure if I was sick (all about her) As an adult she was concerned for her well being. She would say " If something happens to you, where will I be? How will I get around? (Again, all about her) No real concern for me, just for her image and situation.

They want to feed off your pain and resources absorbing you and your world up like a sponge. Mine took my life savings and attacked me six times in a row over their dog. They love to start fights over a pet they value over you.

I think a narcissist wants everything good such your time, your energy, your compassion, your understanding, your money and other resources. Here is some narcissistic math. A narcissist gives 5% into a relationship yet expects to receive 500% back. The narcissist thinks this is equal and fair.

Perhaps it seems a bit "out there" but I receive messages in the strangest places... I was walking on a crumbling sidewalk and noticed a tiny purple flower pushing its way up in the cement and I thought, "that's me!!" I believe it was a sign of healing. I remember watching a video where a colorblind person was given newly invented glasses and they saw color for the first time... they cried with wonder, and so did I. There's beauty in unexpected moments post-narc --- watch for them!

Oh man…leaving a romantic relationship w/ a narcissist is relatively easy compared to distancing yourself from a draining family. I find it quite challenging, because they are always guilting you if you don’t comply to their expectations and somewhere they believe they OWN you. How crazy is that? Family can really be a backwards Institution. To rise as an Individual and unleash your potential, one needs to step out of this hindrance.

Day ten! I got something else done. Sunday Sabbath rest. Monday sharpen the new mower the narc mowed gravel with on its lowest setting, smiling while he did so! He didn't know I saw. That will improve the easiest of the machinery he deliberately damaged just before his exit! That will be a big step for me as I have been paralyzed by PTSD for a whole year! My narcissist was a friend, who I see now really wanted money. In the meantime our conversation revolved around her complaints about her sister, brother in law, niece, nephew, husband, daughter, co workers, people from church She pitted my financial contribution with another friends financial contribution to her needs. It was until I retired that she came after my money. I worked so hard for my money, working 2 jobs for 11-12 years, and planning for my retirement, and living frugally that I was not going to give it up. I gave her $40 and she spent 4 years complaing that I didn’t give her enough money, and everything I had told her all those years came back to haunt me. Wow.

Everytime I listen to you, I learn or recognize what was happening to me. Thank you for helping us to rescue ourselves.

The narcisists is like a black hole taking your life force energy from you and If you Let it happen you will become a shell of a human being. He looked at me grimacing, like when he did the gaslighting, finding me all kind of flaws of his own making....then giving some paternalistic council meaning nothing. How lucky I was to get away!

I just ended a 4 year relationship with a narcissist. Well, we were on and off for 4 years. Every few months she'd randomly leave me and hit me with "It's not you, it's me" before love bombing me. I told her the relationship was unhealthy and I can't keep repeating it. I've been suffering through her rage for over a week now. Blocked her on everything and she still contacts me. She lost the right to access my heart, no matter how badly she wants to keep abusing it

Yes predatory taker.....so clear once out..and I do remember saying to him while in relationship as I was waking up from the fog...hey this is a one way relationship...saw the smirk...he knew and was covert but once the mask slipped no unseeing the truth....facing the truth that I was ultimately only supply hurts but at same time allows me to let go ....no need to hold onto false illusions....

Thanks for your words, so incredibly thankful I no longer am blind to the abuse. It took me 2.5 years of the affair to be known and to heal from a broken heart. I remember awhile back my mom was in the hospital for a kidney stone. My narc dad isn't mobile due to his size, so I would go not just because I cared but to assemble his cart once we got there. Anyway I was ready to go see her way before he was and he exploded on me out of the blue while I was helping him get dressed calling me all kinds of crazy hateful names, and saying I didn't want to go and that I wasn't ready wtf never understood what that was about. 💡 I "think" it's because I cared and he didn't, it was a formality to him and he didn't want my energy there. -Ps he told her I refused to go or help him. Which I hope she knows was a lie. Her hair is literally falling out, he needs to die.

What you describe is exactly what my father is and had been all my 51 years of my life. But the greatest suffering he managed to impact on is my mother who now has dementia and lost her Identity. He still makes her do things he wants her to do and she stopped all the things she liked and never had any real friends. It is just so sad to see.

I went years going no contact with my narc sister but would intermittently try to repair the relationship but ultimately had to go no contact again. I noticed when we were seemingly getting along, my narc sister would openly abuse her partner. I believe her partner really suffered when I was back on the scene. I witnessed the abuse and felt so bad. I’m suspicious that they were treated better when I was out of the picture. So so sad. 😞

Never did a more sweet-talking, wonderful, kind, funnyy, brlliant, creative Narcissist walk the earth than my beloved! And because I was older than him, and financially secure, and unstoppable in my mobility or anything in life, he did not even try to control me... except emotionally. Ah! what a collaborator I was! We celebrate 20 years today, only in separate states (read states both ways). This post is particularly timely. It's only taken me ten years of listening.... aie....!

My covert narc caught me at just the right time. I had just come out of an 11year physically and mental abusive relationship. Then I meet this understanding, kind and patient person. Thought I was so lucky. I am not putting myself down, just stating facts, I am not the most beautiful, not really thin etc. My confidence was at an all time low, spent 4 years with the narc, took me that long to discover my own worth and how strong I really am. I was excellent supply, gave him everything I had because he never raised his voice or outright abusive, till I figured him out. 5months no contact now and doing all the things I loved doing, painting and writing. It is now therapy for me. Thank you for your videos❤❤

Thank you, Andrew! I play these videos 4 or more times in a row, over & over, so it gets through. (Triggers ahead) And nothing matters along the way as long as they get what they think they're due. Sexual abuse, beatings, severe emotional trauma, not taking care of me when I had appendicitis, bad teeth, eye problems, manipulation begun in childhood to eventually give her what she knew what would be left me in wills ("Cheryl, you have to SHARE!"), being her therapist & mother before I was double digits old. All her fake suicide attempts, her getting in the car & running away for days, no idea where. Her destroying my room & my possessions periodically for fun. Throwing us down the basement stairs, the constant slaps across the face, the hitting. "You're so strong," she continuously told me. The whole time she couldn't wait for me to fail at every last thing in life, saying I had "the IQ of a ditch digger." The lies, trying to turn anyone & everyone against me. I could barely speak above a whisper for a long time. Well, if anyone could get past my bad stutter I at least got a speech therapist help for. My oh my, how 17 years NC changed things. Oh, not by much, but she *did* tell me on the phone recently: "All I ever did was take, take, take." Imagine going 87 years to find it in yourself to say an honest thing. Stupefying.
