One thing I am bringing with me second time around is a night light (The hospital lights are too bright I find in the middle of the night). I’m 40w+3d so any day now!

I didn’t hardly use what I brought either but the munchies I brought I was so glad I brought to eat after the kitchen was closed because I was napping most of the time. I love your camera suggestion I will look into buying one to “capture life” and your app suggestions I never thought of before to use a app to track contractions.

this video was right on! so good! I wish I had had my own bath towels with my first(at 38), now with my second(at 40) coming in august I will be packing those along with more pj's or gowns, I took 1 nursing gown and lightweight robe, I wish I had taken something that had pants to it or some shorts for under my gowns for at night. I'm also taking my own bottle for feeding(I never produced milk/colostrum) but baby wouldn't latch to a typical nipple, he loved and latched so easily to MAM bottles and the pacifier of theirs I had taken, so that will be going with me. they have the ability to sterialize within themselves so you don't have to have a separate bottle steralizer so it makes it super easy for travel.

By the third baby I had a diaper bag with every in it for us. I brought so much the first time as well.

I’m actually glad they limited our bags. I would have brought SO much stuff I didn’t need.

Sounds like we had similar hospital bags! I wish I would have brought my own pillow and a fan. I was a million degrees during my delivery too. I'm also terrified to cut my baby's nails. I got these nail clippers by Fridababy as a gift and I really like them. They've got a little window in them so you can see what you're cutting. Helps ease my anxiety a bit - they're so tiny! Ack!

The fan is actually my #1 thing I brought. I was so glad I had it when I was sweating during labor!

Labor Signs Contraction Timer is a good free app also. No ads. But if in doubt, call. I nearly had my first baby at home 😂

The little gloves seem like such a good idea as I've heard lots of new parents talk about babies scratching their faces. From memory I've not seen any other hospital bag videos which include those. Hope you're settling well ☺️

I just brought clothes for baby and us, phone+ charger, diapers, toothbrush and toiletries. I also watched all those videos beforehand, but think people may overthink it XD Just don't forget to install the babyseat!

Great video! Just curious which Essential oils did they offer and for what purposes? I think it's fantastic as I use em often! Just never heard of this at a hospital before 😅

The hospital I had my first baby in said to put 2-3 drops of lavender essential oil they provided in the peri peri bottle.

My daughter has a 9 month old and she uses an app that tracks growth spurts (leaps) so you know what happens during each growth stage as well what milestones happen during each stage. I wish they were around when I had my babies. I breastfed my 3 kids and two used a pacifier and not once did they get confused from nipple to pacifier. My middle baby refused the pacifier, I’m sure he thought if something was in his mouth then food better be coming out of it 😂 Mind you he was 10lb 9oz so I guess he was hungry. 🌸🐨🌸

Our baby is due in 12 days so could be anytime now! I will add a pacifier to my bag. Did you use a certain brand?

That’s so exciting!! We used MAM the first couple of weeks because of the smaller nipple. But it irritated his chin, so we switched to Bibs and have been really happy with them. Wishing you a wonderful and healthy birth!!

I just my third and took hardly anything. 😂 I’d say to check your hospital’s covid protocols. We had to wear masks all the time, no leaving so snacks were necessary and no photographer came by.

Just in case someone thinks a pacifier will definitely save them and give them some extra sleep: I brought one in my hospital bag and my baby refused it. She has never used one, she was just not interested. So I was the pacifier anyway 😅
