Wow, I was blown away at some of the new grocery items at Walmart! I've never seen some of these brands at other stores, and we are talking about clean and healthy foods for great prices. Let me know if you see the same stuff at your walmart, because these groceries are very exciting!

Thank you Bobby (and Art) for your time, your dedication and the knowledge that you share. The Erythritol, Xylitol, etc products mess up my digestive system and cause headaches. Those “sweeteners” literally made me ditch the straight Keto diet I was on and go to a Keto/Paleo hybrid diet. Unfortunately, growing up in Chicago (with all the amazing bakeries and candy factories) I developed quite a sweet tooth. Also, I was surprised to learn that Erythritol is derived from corn. Taken from FDA.gov: “In 2018, GMO soybeans made up 94% of all soybeans planted, GMO cotton made up 94% of all cotton planted, and 92% of corn planted was GMO corn.”

Damsons are plums. Specifically, dark-skinned, yellow-with-red-streaks fleshed plums. They are slightly astringent and more tart/sweet than fresh-eating plums and make excellent jams and (my all-time favorite) plum butter (just like apple butter, super yummy).

Just an FYI, ever since Whole Foods was bought out by Amazon their prices have dropped significantly! You will still pay a premium for a lot of the specialty items (though some things are worth it since you can't find a lot them them elsewhere) but I have found certain produce and other items are actually cheaper than Walmart a lot of times and they have a lot of sales too. I only noticed this because I always order delivery and pick-up options from Amazon Prime and Walmart respectively which uses Whole Foods in my area and I constantly compare between the two to get the better deal!

@@MadisonFalco Yep. It's their business practices that kept me away for over a decade. They haven't gotten better, but I have been stocking up on shelf-stable foods as prices are rising, and I've had to swallow my morals in order to get the best price by shopping at Wal-Mart for those items.

Damson is a perserve fruit spread like any perserve. If memory serves me right, it is a fruit that grows high in a tree. My mom use to make puddings and jelly out if it. Taste kinda like our persimmons because until I went to S Korea to live and teach, never tasted anything different. So, yes, Used mostly during cold seasons in NC when 🦌 hunting, 🐇 hunting was done. My father would shoot down limbs with persimmons, damsins and bring home. Mom would make puddings, preserves and bisquits. It was a dessert.
