In this video, I share a list of things international students must do upon arrival in the USA for grad school. Some of these are to be done in the first week and some others during the first month. Use this as an arrival checklist to get prepared for resumption week. Enjoy!
Excited for you as you get ready for grad school and I hope you find this insightful!

"4 STEPS TO GET A US STATE ID AS AN F1/J1 VISA STUDENT
Step #1: Visit the website of the state agency that issues state IDs or drivers licenses, this is typically called the department of motor vehicles.
Step #2: Visit your local Department of Motor Vehicle office (DMV) to Submit An Application for your State ID and provide documentation
At this office, your photograph will be taken for your US state ID, as well as your fingerprints, and an electronically signed signature.
For proof of your identification and your age, it’s best to use your international passport.
For proof of your residency in the state, you can use documents such as bank statements, cell phone bills, a rental lease agreement, or a tuition bill that has your US address. If you want to obtain a REAL ID State ID, you would need to provide at least 2 different documents proving that you reside in the state.
For proof of your legal US presence, an original copy of your US visa, a signed form I-20 (for F1 students) or DS-2019 (for J1 students) and your I-94 travel record is best.
As an international student, the end date on your I20 or DS2019 would determine the date of expiration for your state ID.
There are 12 states that allow you to obtain a State ID without a driver's license. These states are: California, Colorado, Delaware, Connecticut, New York, Utah, New Mexico, Maryland, Illinois, Vermont, Washington, and Hawaii. If you reside outside of these states, you might be allowed to obtain a driver's license if your can present a social security number letter of ineligibility.
Step #3: Paying the non-refundable application fee. Depending on your state, the cost of a state ID can be anywhere between $10 and $90.
Step #4: Obtain a temporary state ID in a paper form at the local office, and a plastic ID card in the mail within a few business days."

I've been taking GMAT preparation for two months. This journey is quite hectic. I like your video topics because they are unique and necessary. Hopefully, you'll make videos on these topics too. 1) Your GMAT journey 2) Read out your MBA essay 3) Opportunities after MBA for international graduates (H1B visa process, do companies want to recruit international students or not) 4) Life during MBA (University clubs, international trips) Take love from Bangladesh. 🇧🇩

I can totally relate with the exam journey being hectic! Keep encouraging yourself, the results would be fantastic. Answered your questions below; 1) My GRE journey + tips - kzfaq.info/get/bejne/lbl1g9dyspzeeWg.html 2) Unfortunately I have no plans to read out my essays but many other creators here on YT have, so you could just search them out. 3) Will consider talking about H1B visa procedure in the future. As you can tell, on my channel, I only talk about experiences I have gone through. I haven't successfully gone through that phase yet and so there is not much guidance to give Yes, companies want to recruit international students and I shared about that here, please watch it - kzfaq.info/get/bejne/mdZ7nZqjq8XNe5c.html 4) Life during MBA answered in these 3 videos - kzfaq.info/get/bejne/ra-jlsyEsL6sqGg.html kzfaq.info/get/bejne/f9OihJBnrrHQknU.html & kzfaq.info/get/bejne/a56abJp9qZ-Vhqs.html After watching them, please let me know if you have any more specific questions and I'll respond. Thank you🤍

Hi Fisayo :) I want to thank you so much for all you’re doing for the universe, you literally have no idea how you’ve impacted my trajectory and many other too. I can’t say thank you enough, really. If you can, please, I would love you some clarification on this “ Is it compulsory to have finished university at the time of admission processes?” I mean, is it possible to apply for next year session this year while in 400L, with the assurance that one would’ve been a graduate by the time of enrollment? For instance, Ohio state university made this provision. Kindly let me know if you understand my question, I don’t want to puzzle you. Thank you in advance for your response, xoxo.

Yes i totally understand your question. Typically many schools open up their admission rounds about a year before the start date. For instance, fall 2023 applications have already started opening up in different schools so yes, you can definitely apply before you graduate
