Female urologist are the greatest due to their proficiency and detailed exam....they are very caring and gentle in handling. Question.....are gloves sometimes not use for better feeling?

A physical exam is unnecessary for male infertility. You would ask for a sperm sample to see if there is healthy sperm and a blood test. Than you would do a CT scan or ultrasound of the testicle because there is a variety of issues in the testicles that can cause male infertility. Testicle cancer is one of them but the patient would have complained about a lump. There are many drugs prescribed and unprescribed that can cause a problem. Certain infections, and STDs that can cause it. Most of which you cannot diagnose via exam. Female urologist are always trying to get to handsy when it is unnecessary. Also you should be asking the patient if they are experiencing any pain in their testicle, does it hurt to urinate, what medications and various substances you take and what do you do for a living.

Totally agree. But female urologists (and some of their patients) enjoy the excitement of the needless exposure. Same with old guys who still want a digital rectal exam or testicular exam (when neither are recommended for men over 35 without specific symptoms). Weird.

@@gregmatzinger7758 It is also the patients responsibility to know what exams are and are not nessary. Google is very useful even if the Medical community deny it even though they use it themselves.

I will never go to a female Dr. again- I've had a female nurse tell me men with tattoos are "compensating, had a female anesthesiologist drop her stack of papers/computer on my groin on the table, acts like its a joke, had a female Dr laugh in my face the second she saw me, had a female Dr suppress a laugh and stand there smirking after I asked about viagra. Never again.

Sorry you met the wicked witches. My Primary Care Physician and Urologist are women. They are wonderful people. I am quite close to my PCP.

@@frankeasterling3402 There was another female nurse who tweeted a picture of a male patients info about a penile implant- as usual, male distress is fodder to be played for laughs and social media "clout" by female clinicians. Of course she wasn't fired or arrested as a male who did anything similar to a female patient would be.

@@josiahmick1175 She should have been. A quick google search revealed numerous nurses and one female doctor fired for these type things. Again, sorry you met such evil people. The women doctors I have had have all been kind, caring, professional and top notch people. Generally I prefer women. As a group they listen more and better.

Wouldn’t it make sense to run the analysis on the sperm sample first? The genitalia could appear perfectly normal and yet produce insufficient and/or low quality sperm. Why subject the patient to a physical exam before the results have come back?

This is BS. I spoke to my male urologist about these videos. The main thing to check is the testicles. It's not necessary to examine the penis or the urethra, unless the patient is complaining about pain in that specific area. I've searched for other videos like this for male doctors. The only one's I found who palpitate the penis are female doctors.

Pretty obvious. A detailed physical examination of a man’s genitals for infertility and ED symptoms is completely unnecessary. No man has infertility or ED because of a lump on his penis or a defect on his urethral opening. Women urologists (especially those famous on KZfaq) do the examination for kicks and then tell their viewers about it. Many old guys get off thinking they might get it done to them. ED is almost always caused by blood pressure and diabetic issues. Can’t tell that by staring at and palpating a guy’s junk.

If you produce enough sperm sticking fingers up your bum will not have any effect.Men do not need these embarrassing procedures as long as enough active sperm is put in correct place,

The gloves are very thin latex and they have to reach as far to reach the prostate and with shorter fingers they have to try harder ! Trust me, I have had the test done by a male doctor and a female nurse and the male was quicker and less obtrusive! The male found his target quickly and got out! The female nurse took awhile feeling around, but luckily she had her nails trimmed !

Grow up When you get prostate cancer and you need imediate surgery If I was Dr Amy I would say let somebody else save your life.

@@joeparenza6702You are the one that needs to grow up surgery is oftentimes unnecessary radiation is the go to now. Most urologist do not remove the prostate anymore and those that do are no good.

What a stupid comment. As a prostate cancer patient, I can tell you with experience that there is no “urgent surgery” for it. Regardless of when it is detected, you have time to figure out how to treat it. Both options (surgery or radiation) have their pro’s and con’s. I agree with the point that this doctor (and multiple female urologists like her on KZfaq) love to titillate their fans by talking explicitly about male genitals in any way that they can. There are almost NO causes of ED that can be found by a lengthy physical examination of the genitals!!! But that’s where everyone of these KZfaq stars starts. Some old guys love it! Their wives won’t fondle them so they’re thrilled that Dr Amy might. Go to a real doctor and save your pride as well some time in finding a real treatment
