We like to take a power strip. Most of the rooms we've stayed in have 1 maybe 2 outlets. A power strip allows for charging multiple devices at a time. We usually have 3 phones, camera chargers and an ipad and a kindle.

Thanks for the video! :) I guess some of the cleaning products are crazy to some people (like the plastic bag for the remote!) but to be honest, those items take up virtually no room in your luggage, so if it makes you feel better while you're on your trip? Go for it! Just do what makes you feel comfortable. Some people don't care as much about hygiene but we all have our triggers where we feel uncomfortable. A plastic bag and a few wipes are such small items. Good tip about the pharmacy drugs... I always forget headache pills and stomach ache pills when I got away. Trying to buy them is a bit of a hassle so always worth taking.

Love your ideas. Lysol wipes and stain stick great. We are headed to Disney in December for only our 4th trip so my motto is today is"yes" day! We don't splurge in our everyday life so when we are at Disney its yes, yes, yes. We have the same autograph book we have used for all 3 trips. I date it and its fun to look back. I also brought a white matte the characters so graciously signed and is now hanging with our favorite Disney photo and looks beautiful. You would laugh at my husbands friend when he travels he buys new socks and underwear for his trips and throws them out as he uses them. Thanks for the tips.

I take dishwasher liquid with me all the time too. Also, the baby wipe tip. I use them for everything cleaning in the home, car, hands, faces, and we are not a family with babies anymore. I also bring my own hand soap container in my purse. I have allergies to things so I like having liquid soap in my purse for cleanup anytime, when I don't want to use other smelly soaps that are provided.

Most of these I don’t implement. I do however bring wet wipes with me. I like the idea of bringing dish soap. Although not always easy when traveling long distance. We have in the past brought sink clothes wash on holiday so we could wash stuff in the sink if we really need to. Although it doesn’t have any extra protection built in I do have a hat similar shape to the one you showed so it protects my neck as well as my face. After I started going to conventions I started carrying around a mini first aid with things like pain killers, anti diarrhoea, bonjella and more recently anti cramping medication to name a few things. We brought pepto when we went to countries like Egypt and Tunisia. I took my Mack that folds away into its pocket when I recently went to Disney. I did buy my autograph book before I went to Disney- although on the first day I totally forgot to put it in my park bag. Gaaa- I was sooo tempted to go buy another in the park but decided not to and to get autographs from characters in that park in the future. I did bring a portable power bank and plenty of batteries when I went to Florida the other week. Thankfully on this trip I didn’t use them much but often I do.

We just returned from the magic Disney bubble.😊 The Penny machine costs exactly .51.😊 We stayed at a deluxe resort for the first time, & enjoyed some of the amenities available > free washers & dryers in the resort laundry room (which was just a few steps away from the pool), kitchenette with plates, bowls, cups, etc. We really liked the electronic monitor/screen at the bus pick up/drop off that told what time busses for each park would arrive. Our kids (college age) would run down to check the times so that we (parents) didn't have to arrive unnecessarily early. For anyone who has food allergies, Disney once again did not disappoint in that area. I have gluten, dairy & pork food allergies & am always very impressed with how well they handle it. The chef will personally come talk to me about possible food options & availability, to make sure that I get exactly what I would like to eat. The one & only time that I had any problem was during this trip at 50's Prime Time Cafe in Hollywood Studios. The chef did not come out, but instead I was given an "allergy-friendly" menu. I wasn't impressed with the food options available to me, & hesitantly ordered the meatless meatballs & spaghetti. I like nearly all foods, but had to send this dish back because of how unpleasant it was. I opted to order fried chicken from the regular menu instead & not eat the skin, which I never did anyhow. The chicken dish was okay- but I don't plan to eat there again. We ate table service meals at Be Our Guest (breakfast), Liberty Tree Inn (both in Magic Kingdom), San Angel (Epcot), Ohana (Polynesian Resort), 50's Prime Time Cafe, & Whispering Canyon (Wilderness Lodge). We also ate at several of our favorite quick service restaurants. We purchased the resort refillable mugs this time & I am 90% sure we paid $17.99. We bought for several of our family members at once, so I'm not 100% sure of the individual price. We use these mugs for years- they're one of my favorite souvenirs.😊 P.S. I am especially happy to watch your Disney videos this week, as I try to wean myself from the magic, & adjust to life outside the Disney bubble.

Wow! Thank you for the great information! My Mom was eating gluten-free when she was down there as well and she was very happy with how they treated her and the quality and taste of the food! It's good to know that Disney takes care of people with food allergies!

more super advice👍 we bought a portable charger for our mobiles from one of the stores in magic kingdom, big top souveniers. you can purchase them in a variety of stores in all the parks. I believe it cost us 30 dollars, may have been less. You only buy it once and when the device itself has ran out of charge, if you do not have access to your charger in your room, you just recycle it back into one of the machines you buy them and you get a fresh one! these were a lifesaver on holiday and I've even used it at home since.

Also, FYI, if there are some people that like a more natural approach to a stomach ache, I use Digize and Peppermint essential oils from Young Living. I am a distributor, and I do it for my own health. These 2 worked wonders on my hubby when he had a stomach problem....in one night actually. Also, Stress Away is AMAZING to keep you sane. I use it everyday.

This was a great list and there were a couple things I would have never thought to take like the water bottles with filters and portable charger. I am the same way about germs! Some people laugh about us who are overly cautious, but I hardly ever get sick (esp even if my kids are!). I take clorox wipes and wipe all door handles, tv remote and bathroom (including toilet and tub) as soon as we get into a hotel room. If i had room to pack all my linens i would do that too lol!! And I am like a traveling pharmacy and take just about anything that would be needed (chewable zophran and immodium stay in my purse 365 anyway!). We also have ro take a large box fan or two because we always sleep with those and my husband literally cant sleep without one. So yeah, we are not light packers ;-)

I buy a travel size can of Lysol and I spray the entire room and bathroom including the remote. Disney is pretty good about cleaning but that is the first thing we do.we also take Clorox wipes for the tub,we use them every night before we give the baby a bath. I don't like the bubble idea because I don't want soapy bubbles blown on me in line nor do I want them on my hair and I watched a child one time spill a whole bottle and got them all over the place so I don't really think that's a good idea.

I live in Florida. DO NOT bring change for the tolls, you will not be able to pay for them that way, Buy a SunPass (permanent pass is $5.00 while the portable pass is $20.00) that way you can pay for tolls and not get charged a bill for three times the amount which will be sent to your home. The toll roads in Florida don't have the lanes where you can pay for with change anymore.
@aplacetonest
@aplacetonest 6 жыл бұрын
When did the change that? We were there in May and there were still toll roads that we paid for in change. 🤔

A Place to Nest the change is a slow process everwhere. where I live (tampa, florida; which is 30 minutes to an hour away from Orlando) the tolls don't have a change lane. The tolls take pictures of your license plate and bill you later on in the month if you don't have a sunpass account.

I have no problem with bubbles for kids and I am not trying to tell you how to discipline or treat your children. Please don't let them stick the bubble machine specifically in a face of someone in a wheelchair. It happens to me all the time at Disneyland and I ran into a stranger with my wheelchair because I couldn't see. I love that they make them and that kids can be entertained by something so simple. However, it really is dangerous to stick them in someones face. The bubble machines blow so many bubbles at once that they get in my eyes while rolling around so I am forced to close my eyes and then I run into things or get run into by people for stopping.
