I have shown you how Samsung DeX works now let me show what is the best device to get form the price. Today I test 7 different USB-C to HDMI cables to see if they work with my Samsung Galaxy Note 9 & Galaxy S9+.

I plugged my S9+ to a monitor with type-C input and DeX works. I also used a bluetooth mouse and keyboard. The phone was also charging from the monitor.

I used a cheap £7 usb-c to hdmi usb hub, dex is working fine when hdmi monitor is 1920x1080. But after using dex, next time rebooting the phone takes long time, almost as if phone is stuck. Anybody has the same problem. Mine is Note 8

I purchased Ugreen adaptor USB.C to HDMI from Amazon and it worked the first time but the second It did not work, a notification said I have to use an original Samsung dex. What can I do? Please, help me

my note 8 has stopped working with my usb hub. The HDMI works but usb and sd cards arent. Theyre providing power but not recognising a storage device or mouse. Ive tried switching the host from the hub to the phone but its failing. My hub works on other laptops so dont know whats going on... it used to work.

I tried to get it work but the screen size is larger than my TV (4k). Can anyone help me out this? How to make it work? I tried everything with the tv setting and dex settings but nothing worked. Could it be the fault of the dongle?

Worked perfectly... I had my phone for 2 months over the limit because I couldn't delete... time to send it back and finally argue for my Money back

In case it helps anyone else i have bought the following adaptor and it works perfectly with the Note 9 for Dex and is a great option. Im from the UK but you can probably find it worldwide. The device also has power input and card readers too aswell as 2 USB ports and obviously the hdmi. HDMI also takes sound from the device to the TV as I use it for watching for watching videos sometimes too. I have not tested how many apps i can open at once but i think that is limitted by the fact you use the phone alone or the official DEX pad as the samsung dex pad has a processor in it i believe and the other devices rely on the phones processor. Also i was under the impression that the note 9 was different to previous phones in that it can run dex a lot better with no need for the dex pad so i think the note 9 can open more than 5 apps without the pad but maybe others cant. But you can prob work that out for sure with a quick google search. Anyway here is the link.

this is actually very helpful video - i am considering making my Samsung S9+ into a browsing "PC" when i get home. it would be better if you create an update video for every iteration of the dex - better if you can include the original dex

I've ordered basic USB c to hdmi with Bluetooth accessories but if I feel the need for external devices (I'd only really use USB) i will certainly look into some of these

I have the Bbing adapter for my Note8 and it works fine. I have not tried to use more than 5 apps with it but can tell you DeX does work when plugged into an AC adapter. I did have an issue with an adapter but Bbing took care of it pretty quick.
