I’m pretty sure the originator of the “Bagnum” at least on the market, is Le Grappin, who is a pseudo-natty burgundy producer. Their Nuvo Magnum of Beaujolais is great.

Hey, fan of the channel here! Love wine and your channel, buuut: actually the french paradox has been disproven, because of statistical distortions... so... it's just important to be careful about studies and statistics, they need to be well made to be proof of anything. And by the way, in Europe there is indeed a looot of alcoholism. In Germany, where I live, it kills thousands of men and women each year. But consuming a maximum of 12g of alcohol/day(for women) and 24g of alcohol per day for men seems to be safe on average. That is about 1-2 wine glasses, depending on your size. Of course, it also varies per person, and enjoying life with health is equally as important. Cheers!

As someone who works in liquor retail, those bulk produced wines that are sub $5 are the bane of my existence. The vast majority of people who buy them are clearly addicts and are harming themselves by drinking. I don't know if anything should be done about it at a governmental level - when the USA had prohibition people tried to feed their addiction by drinking industrial alcohol and died, but if it was my business I would choose not to sell such products.

Yeah, it's a tough one! We price our Unico wines at a rate that we consider 'affordable' bordering on 'cheap' given the quality (between $25-$35 AUD) but then you'll be doing a tasting and when someone hears those prices they'll say 'oooh a bit pricey for me'. Makes it tough to get people to try new things when they are so used to paying for those mass-produced drops!
