I've watched 100 + videos on archery, and this was as good as it gets. Thank you. Well done!

Great video. Easy to follow and informative. I also appreciate the videography work here. The closeups of the equipment as you explained each part is something a lot of KZfaqrs overlook and it's more about them and not the actual information being shared and the end user watching it. Well done!!

Excellent video. Many thanks for posting. I’m totally new to archery and have a wooden bow (Sage) and want to experiment and learn. How do you know what weight you should use? Is there some rule-of-thumb or formula? And can you point me to some resource for selecting outdoor arrows? This is interesting stuff!!

Man... More like these please... Nothing out there really. I got a barebow now and got no idea where to start in the arrow department. The barebow project podcast got nothing out there about it.

Do you want to set up your bow for indoors or outdoors?

Multiple episodes including the one about 50 meter game discuss arrow setups. Arrow setups change depending on competitive format.

How about shooting off the shelf? How does that compare to a similar rest u used in this video?

Can you tell me which riser this grey one at the beginning is? CD Archery WF 27 XO?

Can you tell me about what that set up cost? I’ve shot custom recurve before lots of compound so just need good stuff for starter but everything you have there including the tab?

If shooting a bare bow off the shelf can the left right be adjusted? How can a bow that has a plunger allowing adjustments be considered BA RE?
@Gloomshimmer2 жыл бұрын
bare means without sights and stabilizer. If you want without arrow rest and plunger, traditional is the way to go.

I really need to know. Is compound barebow a class at all? I have an Oneida phoenix. With a plunger rest. Finger shooting
@Archery3603 жыл бұрын
Yes it is. If you're in the US you can compete in NFAA archery. Their barebow class includes compound bows. The biggest tournaments would be Vegas, NFAA Indoor Nationals and NFAA Outdoor Nationals.

Here in germany\europe its a class itself i think. Dont know the exact rules (because germans love rules, and we have about 30 sporting organizations only for archery). But i know at least 1 guy who shoots Compound bare (target bow) in field archery. Dont know wether its fita, dsb or WA.

Strictly wood, never gonna change that. I just want a bow, a string and an arrow, absolutely nothing else. I enjoyed the video and thank you for your information. I shoot ragim recurves at 40#, 50# and a Canadian made 38# long bow.

Thats the one of the greatest things about archery. We all do the same sport\activity, but its so individual. You can be a absolute gearhead who spends 90% of the time to tune his setup, you can build your own bows with your child\wife out of a tree from your land, you can shoot instinctive with a stick and a string if you want. No matter if you want to become a competition shooter or have some fun on a parcours with friends, who never tried shooting before. Archery brings people together. No matter which age, race, gender. Even if you have a handicap. Nearly everyone can do it. You dont have to be in perfect physical condition to take part. And its the perfect second date activity ^^. Greetings from germany.
