I became a shell of myself and a complete wuss as a result of quarantine. She got turned off by my emotional unloading on her and acting like a desperate loser. I would agree with this mostly, exceptions do appear though - my uncle had 3 breakups with his gf before they got married but damn is it a strong marriage - they were always meant for each other but they were on/off during university because of various stresses, and the fact that they both weren't quite mature enough for a relationship

It was a pretty mutual decision to end things, but both of us are optimistic about the future. We started dating right before the pandemic so we really never had the chance to just enjoy our relationship, which just added to the stress.

if 30 days do the trick for you, nobody in this relationship ever had any intention to leave to begin with. Proper no contact is as long as it takes for your value to rise all the way to the top of your partners priority list. Which in my experience is 6 months to 1 year, everything else is just you tricking yourself into believing 50% of the way to the top of the priority list is enough for you to settle for.

Best thing to do if you can? - Agree with the breakup, walk away, and THEN go no contact. It basically speeds up the whole process - they feel insecure and semi-rejected immediately, because you prove your strength and demonstrate higher value. They expected you to beg and plead, so it's a massive blow to their ego when you don't.

Thanks for this video. 💯 I was the one broken up with and I pleaded like a fool. I haven’t spoken or texted him in 3 weeks now and even though it was so painful in the first week, the depression and all really hit, trust me it gets better with each passing week. I think that was when I started to realize that HE was the one who gave up not me and that speaks volumes of a person’s character. Someone who gives up on you is just weak and not worth your time and love. Be thankful that you are not in that position! Also, if you’re the one who pleaded to fight for the relationship, don’t ever give him the satisfaction of being the one to first reach out again down the line. Ms. Gibson, We are never told old to learn, and never to young to teach. I'm almost 43 years old. I've been to Afghanistan for a year, combat in Iraq for 6 long months. Two additional 6-month tour to the Middle East. I'm still serving to this day (military police) which is 23 years. My point is, I had to be mentally strong for war, but I was not ready for what hit me regarding what happened (content of your video). But I learned a lot from this 10 minute video. What you really need to do is creating more VALUE + no contact. No contact isn't enough, cause he/she broke up with you because you did not have enough value. Then, when you create that value, you won't even need your ex anymore due to validation from others. This is how it works.

The reason I gave no contact after my break up was that she continued to talk to several exes during our relationship and she would say that they are contacting her and it’s not a two way conversation. She even said isn’t it great that she chose me and not them. After going through all that I told her that I will never talk to her ever again because I know how she made me feel talking to her exes, so I wanted to make sure her next boyfriend didn’t feel that way. She’s in a happy relationship now and I’m really glad that history isn’t repeating itself. I still think about her from time to time, it’s not that I think I’m better than her or that she cares about me more I care about her. But I know that our relationship could never work after what had happened and I’m glad to see she’s happy with someone else.

Went thru this almost 30 yrs ago before KZfaq and all these informational channels existed. Thank God I had enough self-respect to step away and did no contact/ radio silence: Let him taste life without me in his. He came back after 6, 7 months and stayed forever. Married almost twenty years before he passed. Have self-respect if you want them to respect you. Sooo important!

So basically my girlfriend of 5 years (were 21) has left me out of no where. Says she loves me but isn’t in love with me and doesn’t see a future anymore. And the only thing I could think of is that i have on and off jobs and she supports us (food wise) a decent amount. She lives an hour away and only saw each other every other weekend. I haven’t been dealing with this well at all and I kept begging and begging and that is totally unlike me and she just doesn’t seem to care but also told me today she was worried ab me and that she still cared ab me. So I just said thanks but I’m gonna be fine (even tho I’m not). Idk why part of me wants her back knowing I don’t need her and knowing how she’s been treating me. Idk what to do or if she would even consider taking me back.

When my first gf broke up with me , i wrote one letter and spoke to her once, I did not ask her to come back. I just stopped all contact . I treated her well and still she left so my logic was there is no left to do except for me to grieve and get over her. She did not contact me directly but after 3 months our mutual friends kept dropping hints that she wanted to try to work things out. I told them to stop talking about my ex. My thoughts were : get over her ASAP , I do not need this bs in my life. We had good times and every time I remembered the good times , I would tell myself it is over.
