Found the article on this crash in Radcliff, KY. Apparently there was a 4th vehicle involved (presumably behind or next to cammer, out of view) and the Kia driver / fleeing suspect was the only fatality. So at least there's that...

It wasn't 2 cars improperly merging. Watch it again and you'll see that the white car's lane has a yield sign. He was meant to yield to the silver car and cammer. There was only one car who merged improperly: the white car who blew through the yield sign.

If they walk/drive around with this much self righteousness and disregard for others something in their lives has gone horribly wrong and deep deep down they know it. They choose to ignore it for now but someday in the future it will come back to haunt them. That or they will get popped by someone equally as damaged and not putting up with it. Plus they look like that and drive an altima. They do not have it easy in life.

Could get out and tap the guys side window with the automatic center punch he keeps in the console. I dunno if he knows this or not, but when you drive a big truck like that, and you can still see the rear bumper of the vehicle in front of you, there is like 20 feet of distance there. Plenty of room for someone to wedge into.

It isn't the cammer revving their engine; it's another sports car (the one that ends up coming up on the left) that also wants to blow the yield sign, then has to brake anyway because of the near-accident from the first sports car not yielding, and is revving his engine over it. He's also the one the cammer is yelling at.

The dynamic range in this video is impressive! It has, on one end of the spectrum, the most insane crash I've ever seen in dash cam footage... and on the other side of the spectrum, at 5:10, it features a collision at 1.5 MPH that both parties had approximately a week each to avoid. I love how in my country driving with invalid tags and without insurance are felonies each and causing an accident with either might very well land you in jail. If the damage had been worse then the cammer might have been in serious financial trouble. But I guess that's the USA for you. They like to keep people in constant danger of some random event out of their control causing financial ruin. Bad health insurance. Nobody's ever heard of personal liability insurance or legal protection insurance. Keeps them on their toes, right?

For uninsured motorists, you can still go after them in a lawsuit and have their wages garnished until they pay off the damages. My sister did that. It took many years, but she got completely reimbursed. There just aren't any real repercussions for drivers with no license or insurance. It is worth the gamble to them. My insurance rates have gone up to nearly $2100 a year for full coverage and no claims for 25 years! Those who are insured pay for those who aren't. It's about time to start impounding their vehicles and imposing $5000 fines. Then it would actually be cheaper to buy insurance instead of paying a few hundred dollars in fines.

7:00 i live near San Luis and that exact thing has happened to me at that intersection mutliple times. Some of it is poor design, 2 left turn lanes but 75% of cars are making an immediate right. But people here do not understand staying in their lane during a turn.

have had someone hit me in san luis doing this exact thing. some entitled kid who stole his dads truck and i got the whole thing on dash. shat his pants and cried (he did actually cry) after he tried to blame it on me and i told him i had a dash cam. he gave me fake info because the car was brand new and had no insurance card. but the dumbass gave me his ID before he found out i had a dashcam and I already had his plates. reverse searched him and called his dad the next day. dad wanted to lie and say he was driving. i said fuck no im not lying against what the police report says. kid got black listed from both his personal and business insurance, and got cited with driving without insurance and an unsafe lane change. fuck that kid. dont steal your parents shit. and fuck the dad for trying to put me in the shithole.

I notice a lot of crashes seem to occur when someone goes just because it's their turn or their right-of-way. Never assume another driver is going to obey the rules! Check their front wheel, check the driver if you can see them, and keep well away from anyone acting weird, disoriented, or aggressive. Avoiding collisions > being right.

Anyway, make sure to completely clear the intersection before the red light. The Corvette's driver treated it as : Hit the gas to beat the red. 5:25 Totally illegal U-turn. Traffic light = Imperative NO U-turn. Also, if you can't make a turn tight enough to make that U-turn without reversing, that also mean that you can't make that U-turn, EVEN if it's legal.

I don't see it that way - cammer yields at first, allowing car from the right to enter the roundabout and yielding to them (when cammer could actually have entered first, really). Note that there are no other cars coming from the right, none is trailing behind that first car. It appears to me that as cammer enters the roundabout (aiming to take the right exit), during that time another car enters the roundabout from the left lane (right next to where cammer yielded, so coming from the same direction as cammer), and instead of attempting to exit the roundabout to the left or straight, they decide to exit to the right, entering the inside lane of the roundabout and side-rear ending cammer (from the left, not the right).

yeah, on a round about like that you need to yield to traffic in the roundabout, so assuming since the cammer got hit the other car was allready in the roundabout even if we can't see it. i also think the cammer was at fault. unless its offcourse someone in the left lane not follwing their lane and thinking they can just drive straight through a round about because they assume the right lane will turn right and not follow the round about. but i mean. that would be completely idiotic

6:30 in California, you don’t give people the space to do stuff like that. It’s unfortunate and has its downsides but it helps keep situations from happening in the first place. Don’t leave more space than what just your car needs to be safe
