In this video, we do tests to see the biggest tyre that you can fit on a lifted jimny without having to cut allot and modify gearing.

Very useful video, thank you for taking the time to do this. I have 215/70R16 on my stock Jimny at the moment but I want to give it a 2" lift, 20mm spacers and bigger tyres. I might just go with 225/75R16 to keep it pretty normal and not affect economy too much. Thanks again.

I put 235/75x 15 on my jimny after an ironman lift shocks and springs this changed her from a toy into a machine.

Im running 31/10.5r15 on a 2inch lift. No re-gear and minimal cutting and the van runs fine

I like the way the tyre installer used a wheel brace, instead of the faster but damaging pneumatic version.

No reason an impact gun (pneumatic or electric) should damage anything.

Do you think a 225/75R15 is a good option stock with no cutting?

The best way would be to ask the tyre shop to fit one tyre and do a turn test, flex test(let the one tyre climb on a ramp and see if it doesn’t touch. I know 215’s will definitely work.
