Original deed on my other half gggreat grandfather's farm 1842 his parents bought it in 1942 for $1500.00. Paid off in 10 years. They lived there until their passing in 2014. We still own it. We have a ton of postcards as well when his grandmother was a WAC in WWll and finished her service in Occupied Japan also brought back figurines . Awesome finds in the trunk. HAPPY THANKSGIVING & SAFE TRAVELS. 😊🇺🇸

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!! The History held inside that truck is Unreal 😲😲 What an absolutely Amazing find 🙂 If possible I think some of those are definitely a candidate for #RestorageTheLove 🥰💖 The family history lost to someone there is incredible 😲😢 Sadly they maybe didn't care or see it's true value 😔 But personally to me thing's like that are worth more than Gold, Silver, and jewellery 💖 Could you please do a more in depth video going through the paperwork, photos and recordings 🙂 I think that would be such an interesting video to see the history held in those item's 🙂 As always, thank you so much for taking us along with you on this journey of discovery 🤩💖 Keep up the fantastic work 🙂 All the best, Mark 👍🏻

Jeremy! 1995 was the Bicentennial anniversary of Allegheny County in New York State. I shared much of my great grandfather's family history I knew of. He was Nathaniel Dike the first settler of the area. I noticed town names on the priceless history found in the trunk from this area. There is a small museum Dike Family Museum. I feel horrible as my memory is failing and the town and other information slips my mind. Who KNOWS family/friends of the may still live here. Information on the banks and such may be here. God Bless and Happy Thanksgiving..... Oh and Merry Christmas to you and yours... Jesus is the Reason for the Season and EVERYTHING ELSE

You made me feel really really old just now. You read the back side of those 45's. (You probably weren't around for 45's) It's not Olivier Newton John but Olivia Newton John and on the front side of Let My People Go by Donny Osmond was his biggest hit Puppy Love. I had some of these 45's when I was a child and just recently threw them away. Everything you have in that chest is worth money. We had those shoes as I got a little older. Saddle shoes are also known as oxfords, but those aren't that old. Baby shoes were white or brown and came up over the ankles because the belief was that babies need that support at their ankles for when they start to stand and walk. Fortunately, the younger doctors stopped telling the mothers to put them on their kids. If you think of it, kids from other parts of the world as well as Native American children run barefoot all the time or wore moccasins or other simple footwear and their ankles didn't give out. I bought moccasins for my son when he started to walk and the old ladies in my hometown had a fit! He wore them out!

TIME STAMP 13:42 The brush is not for shoes, it would be for dusting down your jackets or long coats. some would be left on a shelf at the entry way for men to brush the snow of the shoulders of there coats and hat tops so the snow would not melt into there jackets when entering a dwelling containing a fireplace. Finer more elegant ones could be found on a ladies dresser, often with a matching hand mirror , a comb and hair brush. These were often made from boiled and polished bones from horses or cattle, the bristles would be horses hair most likely. How do I know you ask? my great grandmother had a full set that also included a powder bowl and a little round trinkets dish where she would put her Sunday best jewellery for church. She was given this as a wedding gift in 1912-1913, this same set now sits at my grandparents house.

The small old letters with the pink Washington stamps could be civil war era. Could be worth some $ depending on cancel and addresses.

You might check on the dogs and man picture, it could be for outdoor sports magazine. I seen one like it at the Antique roadshow

Hi Jeremy and George! My name is Janine and I watched this video, well all video's lol, and I saw all the pictures and post cards and was thinking if you find pictures with names on the back it might be nice to get a hold of a local geneologist to add to a geneologist website for those looking for the people in the pictures in their family tree. I do geneology for my family so finding documents and pictures from ancestors is a wonderful find. So maybe, pass on the love?
