Wheat Harvest Kinsinger Farm 2013

The 2013 wheat crop on the Kinsinger Farm on Indian Ridge Road South of Stuarts Draft was Averaging 90 bushels to the acre according to Dairy and Cash Crop Farmer/Operator Eldon Horst of Hinton,Va. whose daughters Emily and Kendra are his right-hand side kicks also assisting in the Operation of the new 2013 John Deere Combine with a 30ft flex draper belt drive header.This machine has a computerized digital mapping system built in for data retrievel after the crop has been harvested.The computer can pinpoint what areas of a given acreage were yielding as well as test weight and moisture during the harvest operation as well as after the crop is harvested.

Thank you sir! The Machine is hydraustatic drive I would guess they were moving along about 5 mph. As that is the whole idea of using a 30 foot draper head to put through a lot more volume at a lower ground speed.

Interesting observation Mr.Horst always goes with the best and latest since he trades off his combine each year for the next newest model.If he had the auto steer option Im sure he would have gotten it!

The amount of acreage covered in a day is determined by how good the crop is, in this case the wheat crop was turning out 90 bu.to the acre average the first full 12 hour day they were able to harvest just under 200 arces using one combine.

Okaaaaay LOL! I suppose the second owner will have to deal with that since Mr.Horst trades his combine every year for the newest and latest John Deere model.

The open top John Deere is a 7710 rated at 160 hp.

Its the new 2013 30ft draper head with the gathering belts instead of an auger.Mr.Horst said he really likes that head and wishes he would have gotten one three years ago when they first came out! I see you are a John Deere man too! What part of the country are you in?

MacDon has been making these draper heads way longer than 3 years, that model or series may have been out for 3 years though

Based on how the girl is dressed and these Mennonite farmers? And if your going to spend 500K on a S670 and a draper platform I would have got the auto steer option. I could be wrong just what I noticed . Thanks for the video
