Here we are at Disneyland Paris, showing you all the amazing wheelchair ride transfers. As someone who is paraplegic as a result of a spinal cord injury, its a lot harder getting on and off the roller coasters.
Three years ago we visited Walt Disney World Florida where I filmed a lot of transfers and accessibility: dont miss my playlist here: • Wheelchair Users! Avoi...
After suffering my spinal cord injury i have really had to adapt in life. So Im showing you my disability lifestyle to raise disability awareness. As a disabled woman and a woman in a wheelchair who is paralysed, I thought it would be interesting for you to see, and hopefully give you some inspiration and motivation so that you can live more independently. wether you are paraplegic or quadriplegic I hope that I can help you. The wheelsnoheels message is “so no one has to feel alone.”
I have lots of interesting disability videos, a lot of videos on how to cope with a disability and living life in a wheelchair, wether you are a girl boy woman or man. i have some paraplegic exercise videos, and advice. its important to keep your fitness levels up as much as possible as this can when physically and mentally with depression.
If you feel I have given you value today consider buying me a ko-fi, just think of it as a tip.

This was so fun and useful, I'll probably never make it to Disneyland Paris but I find watching your videos about the rides super helpful as generalizable information for even my small local fair's rides. Also huge thanks for the flash warning the verbal announcement when it was over, made it super easy to just close my eyes for that bit and not have to wonder when it was over. Thanks for making all kinds of accessibility in your videos.

The orginal Paris Space Mountain was one of the best rides on the planet. Then, they made this cheap "temporary" Star Wars overlay. Everybody wants the original "From the Earth to the Moon - Discovery Mountain" back. It was so, so, so much better!

Thank you so much for the flash warnings! I honestly feel such relief every time a youtuber uses them! It makes it so much safer for me to watch and spares me from quickly having to turn or going to another tab. I do have a question; for the rides that you don't have to transfer, are there any type of drops or more rapid parts of the ride? I wonder because I know not everyone's brakes are as strong and if you for example got a small puncture in your tires while out in the parks that could potentially be dangerous. Also besides the ones shown, do you know of any other rides that don't need transferring? (from a friend I know that 'it's a small world' has 1 boat that you can just ride on in your wheelchair too)
@Wheelsnoheels

Hi. No problem Im glad the warnings helped you. The strap your wheelchair in pretty tight so there is no chance of you rolling. Also they are all completly flat. As far as Im aware in DLP the only rides you can stay in your wheelchair are Buzz, Ratatouill, and Small world

This video brought back so many good memories. I love that on Big Thunder Mountain, Disney continued the theming throughout the disability queue. The lines were quite long when I was there, so it was nice to have things to look at. I'm glad the signs at Phantom Manor have been cleared up. I accidentally went to the fastpass disability entrance on my trip and the cast members were quite rude and wouldn't point us in the right direction. It looks like the disability access pass has changed, there was only a green and orange pass when I was there, so I'm looking forward to your video on that. I don't know if I'll ever make it back to DLP, but I'd like to go again one day.

Here's a interesting fact about our French/European Phantom Manor. It's the only Haunted Mansion in all Disney Parks where you're entering in through the front door and that looks delapidated and scary. Due to languages bearrier. That's not all. The whole Frontierland is coonected to the Backstory of Phantom Manor (you'll see towards the end of the ride when you're in Downtown) The French Frontierland features the Wild West

Last time I visited Disneyland Paris was in 2015 and I was using my manual wheelchair and the cast members at all rides I went on except for one ride were extremely patient and helpful. That on ride was the haunted mansion! The staff were extremely rude even as much to put over the loud speakers “could you please hurry up, you are holding up the ride” I’m now having to use a powered wheelchair because of constant dislocations in my upper limbs. My paralysis is below my l4-5 and s1 and my other unpleasant experience was trying to access the accessible toilets to empty my suprapubic catheter. They were mostly a wider stall inside the the communal toilets

One other thing is that the wheelchair user ride access point is sometimes different from the other disability ride access points. Sometimes staff just instruced everyone to the same point, sometimes they didn't and it made for a confusing time!

Oh and another nugget (possibly) is the drop tower hotel thing (that's at the other Disney park there) is that the wait-in-line time can be quite a while compared to other rides and other parks where you just rock up at your time and get straight on. I think we stood 15 minutes, which is long time for me and left me in a lot of pain.

I've never been to Disney even though I really want to, I looked a while ago but it never happened. I looked at their access recently but now it seems you have to have a diagnosis on their approved list of conditions to get the access pass (and of course eds isn't on there) which has kind of put me off and seems a bit odd because it really wasn't a very long list so I'm sure many people that need it won't have something on that list. I might have missed something previous but that's how it seemed with what I was reading
@meikekelterbaum7953
@meikekelterbaum7953 Жыл бұрын
Hi, I go to Disneyland Paris frequently. For this access pass, with which you go directly to the exit, you need any kind of official "paper" saying that you are permanently disabled. I'm from Germany and here we have a kind of ID card for disabled people. For the special pass that gives you come back times, you only need a doctors' note that states why you can't wait in line.
