He said it was one of the biggest mistakes he ever made and sold it at a HUGE loss since he bought it for almost 10 mil.

🤔 let’s think about it. If French were to keep that car until 2028 it would be 20 years old. The market for 20 year old super cars right now is hit and miss, but in 2028 when all (or most) new cars could potentially be electric.. does that 20 year old Bugatti regain its lost value? If someone wants it and most people won’t because of the upkeep of it and it’s probably high mileage. If it was low mileage and rarely used, then it will get some value but problem is finding someone who admires old Bugattis so you know around the world that percentage is very tiny. Fifty could probably break it down, if that's even true, how he still lost money. When you figure 20k oil changes, 120k tire change and the losses due to inflation. Not to mention the things like taxes that we don't even know about with transactions on that scale.

It’s what’s relatable to you. If you got $30M (for example), you look at a Bugatti like it’s okay to buy. Let’s say you personally drive a car that cost a few thousand, there’s someone somewhere who lives in a hut saying “DAMN he spent all that on a car?!”. It’s what’s relatable. Needless to say, still a lot of money.

@@paradiseplayer5103 I have a car for transport. It’s not new, but it’s safe and reliable. I need it to get to work and to get my kids where they need to be, comparing my Camry to a multi million dollar show off toy that’s not going to be drove much is not a fair comparison at all. If i had a billion dollars I would not own a Bugatti, but that’s just me and my opinion.

And regardless of what car you have, there's still someone out there that views it as a luxury. Something that they can't even comprehend. Some children have to walk to school every day so they can't comprehend being transported there in a vehicle. There's still someone out there that wouldn't be able to believe half the things we have. It's just relativity.
