I’m fairly new, couple years of once per week bowling. Very tough on myself always losing to folks bowling 200+ average when I’m happy to have a single 200 on league night. These videos are inspiring and bowling has to be the insanely tough to make it as a pro. Big props to Darren, will be cool seeing him take down some majors soon.

Feel like therapy is helping my mindset a lot, and allowing me to be a better bowler mentally, and a better me in many aspects of my life. No one is an island and we all need some help sometimes. Thanks for this awesome channel Darren! My 10 yo son has found his passion for the lanes and loves this channel. We always watch it before youth league to get fired up. He learns a lot from it. It's great that you show the lows that come with the highs. That it takes work to keep your head level, showing us the human side and the emotion that comes with undesired results. It's what separates the men from the boys, and defines a Pro. Keep crushing and keep loving league!!

In my first league ever, Manchester, NH Mon nite league, and this being my first year really bowling, I lead my team in our first place winter league that goes 34 weeks. Just found out half way through, we start over again, so my team basically won the first half, but this was news to us as we're all new to this. This past monday, I had the worst outing as a league bowler ever. I feel I really needed this video Darren. Thanks Homie.

I was lucky to be able to stop at Woodland during a mini vacation trip, got to see Darren bowl a little. Those conditions looked tough! That Harsh Reality looked decent; I saw quite a few stone single pin leaves across every pair. Keep it up, Darren, and the House and all of you! You all got this!

Started watching your video few months ago when I was just learning about bowling from my gf. Started with 40-50 average with most of my shots going left gutter (I'm a lefty btw). Some of your videos helped me a lot. Currently doing no step drills (averaging 110-120) and will be moving to 1 step once my left-handed shoes arrive.

After being there, a lot of the Illinois week.... I understand even more how frustrating it can be for you guys out there on tour. Especially if you're trying different adjustments and still nothing but others bowling lights out. Best of luck next week, and the future weeks!!

If the fronts are shot and it’s tight down lane, why is lofting further right for righty’s or left for lefties not an option many go to? Only time we see loft is the left gutter or when packy doesnt want to go past 4th arrow

I bowl at Western which is part of the same group as Woodland and the approaches are always sticky. I had to use one of the little shoe covers when I bowled the Pro Am. My shoes have black ice soles for maximum slide, but still stick. So aggravating

Quick question. Got new bowling shoes and i have no slide. How can i get them to slide? So i do not feel like i am falling on my face when i go to throw the ball. I have smothered them in baby poweder and what now and still the stick like sneakers.

That's Brady McDonough. The gloves are something he's been working on at least a year now and yes, he always wears them. Logically you can see why they're a good idea, keeping skin oil off the ball. He won a PBA regional last year at age 15 and has won numerous Storm Youth Championships.

we all have our ups and downs Darren. I bowled a tournament just yesterday where i was shooting my average or higher for the first three games (i.e. i was shooting over a 171 average as an amateur). All i needed was to maintain that average pace for one more game to make the cut out of 25 bowlers. Guess what: i bowled a 164 and cost me the top 5 spot (i was 8th so not bad). the point is sh!t happens on the lanes, like you said we move on and bowl another day

You almost need to go back to this center for just the giggles and bowl a couple of sweepers to get the feel of it. Unfortunately, I can not imagine as a PBA pro what it feels like to have your timing off. The ball reaction is not cooperating, but I detest that all the same. Your still fantastic even in the crappy showings, and your honesty helps alot of bowlers understand that bowling is a very humbling roller coaster ride.

Prime example of bowling being a big mental game. Even if the approach is fixed it’s still in your head subconsciously which in turn messes with your footwork. And people say bowing is easy lol 😅

People who say it’s easy, are usually not any good at it. I remember when I started I felt like the lanes were higher in the middle because my ball would NOT go down the middle.
