Hi Roxanne - great segment! Below are my observations: - I think Lucas has his shoes on. I can faintly make out a heel from a dress shoe. - Elizabeth's book party is at the saloon, but that clip of her signing a copy is in the library. There are a stack of books beside her on the table so I think it's a book signing. - I agree with you and Janine, I think that's Wyman behind Rosemary. - The scene where Mei Sou rides by Nathan looks to be outside Elizabeth's rowhouse. - I'm not 100% sure about this, but I don't think that horse belongs to Lucas. It's the one he rides when he and Elizabeth go to the bridge, but I think Rosemary rides the same horse in episode 11 when she goes on her investigation. Maybe it's a horse they can rent from the livery? (Although, I would really love for Lucas to have his own horse!)

I wondered if the fire would be the catalyst for the proposal/marriage because they are reminded of the brevity of life and they don't want to wait any longer to be together.

I agree that the book signing takes place in the library and then Lucas brings Elizabeth over to the saloon for the surprise party.

I hope Gowen's story will be resolved so that he can be relieved of the guilt he has carried for so long...that guilt has eaten away at him for all these years and I am sure that has added to his health issues. I am liking his longer hair for S9!!! What little we have seen of Henry in the clips, it seems he is sadder since he returned.

Poor Henry he is a tormented soul. I hope we see him connect with Abigail on When Hope Calls. She did send him a letter. I am surprised to see Nathan and the new lady character on the poster together and no other cast mates. I am hoping Hallmark is just teasing a romance with Nathan. I want it to be a surprise. I think Lucas has a shoe on lol. I cant wait to see him with Jack. So many exiting things coming. It might be the best season yet🥰

It looks like Lucas is in his socks because if you look at the toe its lighter in color than the rest of the sock. Most socks are manufactured this way nowadays. I also wondered why Lucas left town in a hurry at the end of season 8. My theory is he signed the papers to sell the saloon then changed his mind after Nathan told him he thought Lucas should stick around. He rushed off to stop the sale then returned to find Elizabeth on the bridge. Now in season 9 the fire at the saloon may have been deliberate to force Lucas out of business by whomever is buying up property in the town or the loan shark who burned his friend out. Lucas did say the guy had connections and that was how he got out jail the first time. As for the connection between Lucas and the new female character, she may be his friend that was burned out and they were more than friends for a while . Now that she is in town this could cause Elizabeth to have concerns about Lucas's past. I think Nathan and Faith will explore a relationship because they both have broken hearts. My theories are probably wrong.

I absolutely loved this video Roxanne and I can’t wait to see if a lot of our predictions come true. I believe that Lucas has his shoes on when he is reading to Little Jack. I am excited for Elizabeth’s book tour and the surprise party that Lucas throws for her. I think Rosemary helped with that party. I hope if the saloon is on fire there will not be a lot of damage.

Hi Roxanne. I've enjoyed reading the predictions. As for the incident of the vehicle and the horse. Thinking with the roads so narrow, problems might arise with serious safety issues. The town and it's growing may have need of road design for clear directions in traveling creating safety for pedestrians and vehicles. This will probably mean a Road Commission?

Interesting discussion! I hadn't considered a possible connection between Mei Sou and Lucas, but the poster is a strong hint that eventually her and Nathan connect. I think the fire in the saloon is near the end of the season(If not in the finale). I think the early episodes will feature many romantic scenes between L & E that will thrill the LucaBeth fans, but information about things in Lucas's past will temporarily give Elizabeth pause. I think later in season we'll see Lucas work with Nathan and Bill to protect Hope Valley, and I wouldn't be surprised that a friendship between the two develops. I also think that Lee will become Mayor, and he will have his hands full dealing with mysterious investors linked to Walden.

Bill found a copy of the letter Henry wrote to the mine owners and told him about the problems. I remember Bill saying that he tried to help. Elizabeth told Henry about helping and informing\ him he is not the evil man he thinks he is. Why is this coming up again?

It will be fun to find out if he is so comfortable in Elizabeth’s house he will be walking in his stocking feet. - I think this season the mine story will be put to rest. Henry’s greatest lesson will be to forgive himself. I believe I read there is a very emotional scene between Henry and Joseph Canfield. I think Joseph will help Henry in this self forgiveness. - I think the saloon fire will be an arson. The person in the car leaving town almost running into Nathan will be the arsonist trying to leave town in a hurry. - I too think the man standing in the background looks like Wyman. - I agree Elizabeth does her book signing at the library and Lucas throws her a surprise party at the saloon. - This wasn’t mentioned, but at the very end of the last promotion where Elizabeth is with Little Jack, there is a butterfly flying right over Elizabeth’s head. I think this represents the metamorphosis we will see take place in Hope Valley and it’s residents in Season 9. Elizabeth is actually signing her published book, a foundry is going to be built, an investor visits to potentially invest in Lucas’ oil business, the water tower on the promotional photo looks like it is being rebuilt and has metal legs. I can’t wait!!!

(so many questions as to why he would be there) I think the fire could be the catalyst for a proposal, although I love your idea of them just getting married. I see definite confusion on Nathan’s face but it looks like they are near the row houses. Maybe she does know E or L and N sees them talking. Also I think Rosemary is patting E’s hand so I think she is giving her advice but it’s leaving E confused or she doesn’t know how to take the advice. I also wonder if the horse is hooked to the fire wagon and pulled it there rather than anyone rode it to the fire. 🤷🏻‍♀️ No clue on the shoes/socks but can’t wait to see it!!!

I have a crazy idea that most likely not true,but I think Rosemary and Lee maybe next season will adopt a girl around 12,13. Possibly from the orphanage in Brookefield, and having her and Allie being bet friends would be adorable.

Okay, about Lucas shoes. Don't have the ability to look at this on TV, so it looks like shoes to me. Next, Mei Su in the front of the surprise party- she's shorter then Nathan, so maybe that's why. Then Nathan and Mei Su in the street- Perhaps Nathan is wondering if she is the one who raced past him on the road into town earlier. I have a feeling that Mei Su is connected to Nathan because of her job- perhaps a secret service agent investigating whoever is involved with the cabin. Then finally, the fire. There are a couple of men with long legs in that picture and there are men with long legs in town. Long legs= Lucas, Nathan and Bill. So Lucas on the hose and Nathan running in. It's getting more and more exciting. Hallmark is doing such a great buildup.

I love your observations. I think Lucas may be in his house. It's decorated like Lucas would. That room doesn't look like Elizabeth's house. I thought he had his shoes off, too. It is so much going on in these clips that leaves us speculating 🤔 I don't think Nathan is going to get hurt. I think he was surprised as was the car driver. Henry is a puzzle to me at what's happening to him. I feel bad for him. I hope we get to see Henry's past resolved. I thought Nathan's look was confused, too. I thought it was Bill running in the saloon. I think after the fire, it won't be a saloon anymore, because that is what some people have a problem with because she's a teacher. It may be a restaurant, hotel, and event spot.The white carriage belongs to Lucas, as we saw in a BTS clip. We are going to be completely crazy when the new season starts😂. I am looking forward to this season cos it really does look like we moving onto new chapters for all the characters now, what with the triangle finally over lol. I am excited about Lucas and Elizabeth love story, the relationship build up and getting deeper. Their first i love yous and with Little Jack esp seeing Lucas with him and how that develops. And to see Elizabeth now free to progress into life and love - lifetime love. I am intrigued about Mei Sou and i feel like i will like her. I have a hard time with Nathan as a character and his attitude problems gets overlooked i feel just cos he is mountie since season 6 but lets see this season how it goes and him - as he got closure on Elizabeth (for me it felt more guilt lingering in that he calls love) and Fort Clay. I am looking forward to all things in the Saloon as that place is such a important place in the show and as someone said history of the show. And i love Lucas there - (yes he is a saloon owner but more so a businessman who owns it and the oil business) and all that he has brought to the saloon even getting Gustave to come and work there lol. Henry looks like he is lost or just worn out. As much as Henry crosses the line in business. He sure has good people there for him esp Elizabeth and Lucas. Will always like Henry and Lucas end scene in the S8 finale. and that line about what gives you comfort when the darkness..... quote

I just love the part of Lucas reading to little Jack, I am wondering if maybe this is at Lucas' house, perhaps Jack has stayed with Lucas while Elizabeth was on a book signing. It just looks like Lucas has had a hand in decorating the room, maybe some of the things from his office is now in Jack's room. Can't decide on the socks! With Elizabeth and Rosemary talking I think maybe Elizabeth is a little scared about the idea of marriage. There's always that idea in the back of her mind as to what happened just weeks after she married Jack, but I think Rosemary is going to remind Elizabeth of all the wonderful things Lucas has done for her and the love they have for each other, everything is going to be fine talk. I think the book signing will be in the library, hoping that it will show Lucas buying the first book! After the signing I feel they will sit and talk awhile about the signing, giving everyone a few minutes to get everything ready for the surprise. The fire, if I didn't know better...looks like Jesse running, tall slender, I know it's not. Elizabeth is scared because she probably knows Lucas is still in the fire, and that Lucas will not leave untill everyone else is safely out. Hi Roxanne! Ok, here are some of my thoughts. I think Lucas preplanned the hot air balloon flyover while they were walking through the town. Little Jack gets excited when he sees the hot air balloon & Lucas and Elizabeth bend down to little Jack's level so they can share the moment! Hence, the Air Balloon Mobile in Little Jack's room (probably a gift from Lucas)! I'm still puzzled about the suitcase. Not sure what's going on there. Now the clip where Elizabeth is watching Lucas read a book to Little Jack is precious! It shows to Elizabeth that Lucas might turn out to be a good father. Elizabeth's facial expression says it all. As for the shoes or socks matter, I think Lucas is wearing a pair of square-toed leather shoes. I "think" he's worn a pair before. Now on to the fire in the saloon. I think it's Bill we see running into the saloon. Lucas & Lee are holding the hose. Bill wears scarves and has skinny legs :) Also, I think that it's Spurlock and his gang of thugs that might have caused the fire. I think the person that's wanting to buy the saloon/town is behind it. Just saying. :)

There’s probably a lot of ppl that have noticed this already but I love that in the scene that L is reading to LJ the teddy bear he won back in the fair is sitting in the chair 🪑 on the side of the bed….it’s so cute 🧸

I agree with others who said the book signing takes place in the library (based on the table and the curtains) and is separate (although likely same day since she has the same blouse on) from Lucas surprising her with the party in the saloon. I agree with you that Nathan looks more confused than anything when he sees Mei Sou. As far as to whether he is bootless on the bed, I really can't tell but it does appear that Janine others on twitter determined that a shoe is visible. Enjoy your observations and predictions.

I think the look of Nathan at Mei Sou in front of the row houses is a look of confusion, perhaps making connections with some information regarding her past and the actual woman he's begun to know. Excited to know!

I appreciate your speculations! I have a few ideas. I'll share them, but I defer to the writers of WCTH always. I really can't see who's manning the hose for the fire. I believe that was made obscure on purpose, to encourage actual watching of the episode. I'm greatly looking forward to this S9 and it sounds like you have a wonderful idea for a "pre-reveal" party (my words). I hope you all have great fun. I'm not very skilled at the computer, so I guess I'll just wait til the celebration occurs. As far as Nathan is concerned, I'm hopeful that the writers will provide him a wonderful, love-filled relationship, at the time Nathan is ready for it. While he may be reflective of his feelings to Elizabeth, I look forward to he and Lucas becoming friends. After all, it was Lucas who helped him when Allie's estranged father was demanding a hefty price be paid to keep him out of Allie's life. With regard to the picture of Elizabeth and Rosemary talking, I believe the background of that conversation is yet to be revealed in the course of S9. I love the support and friendship they share and it'll be great fun to watch them as their friendship grows. I enjoy the transformation I've seen in Henry and I truly hope the writers of S9 will provide closure for Henry with regard to the past mine tragedy. If he is ready to reconnect with Abigail, that would only be an added blessing. I'd love to see Abigail be returned to the series, but that's something the writers have to decide, unfortunately for us, her faithful fans. Not to burst your bubble, Roxanne, but I was pretty sure I saw what looked like a shoe heel on whatever Lucas was wearing on his foot when he is reading to LJ. It does look like he is in LJ's bedroom in Elizabeth's house because of the paneled wall behind the bed. That would go with the construction of the row house that we've seen on the first floor of her house; however, we haven't seen where Lucas lives, so who knows. I think the book signing is in the library and the surprise party is in the saloon. As far as Mei Sou being at the party and in the front, maybe Nathan asks her to come with him to the party (she is standing right in front of him) or that Lucas gets to know Mei Sou since she is staying at the Queen of Hearts. Not sure if the guy behind Rosemary is Wyman Walden because I do see some other people in the background that I don't recognize, such as the woman next to Henry and the man next to her as well as the two women behind Lee. Interestingly, I don't see Fiona in the picture, but I do see someone who looks like Mike behind Faith. I do see the scene with Nathan, but I think it is reflective of the changes they talked about in the town that are coming. My hope for Henry is that the mine disaster gets resolved and that Henry has some redemption - there is the court room scene that involves Henry and Lucas, although I'm not sure what Lucas being there would have to do with that. It might be more likely that Henry and Lucas are in the court room related to the saloon fire. I hope that the saloon fire isn't anyone trying to hurt Lucas or ruin him in a business sense. The saloon building is a staple on the set, so I wouldn't think they would have it completely destroyed in that scene. I just hope that Lucas doesn't get badly hurt - I can't believe the writers would allow that to happen to him after three years of building up the relationship between he and Elizabeth. It may allow Elizabeth to comfort and care for Lucas and make her remember that life is tenuous and want her to push their relationship further. A minor injury could give Elizabeth pause if the fire involved some sort of arson aimed at hurting Lucas in any way, however. The scene with Mei Sou and Nathan looks like he is confused about the reason for her being in town, maybe wondering if she was the one who came flying into town. That clip had someone in a long black coat and a black hat that obscured her face, I believe. So much to speculate about, but those are my thoughts.

Some thoughts…I think Lucas brought the Balloon to town because in one of the sneak peeks I thought he said, we arranged everything? I think Jack may have had the mobile/mobeel (ha) first and that’s why he brought it to Hope Valley. I do think I see a heel of his shoe but would love for him to be in socks. Either way the scene is precious especially Hyland with his hands behind his neck adoringly looking at Lucas. Agree with everyone the signing is in the library and the party is at the saloon. I think the cover is Little Jack….so sweet. Nathan and Mei Sue pairing is intriguing but I may be the only one that would like for him to be with Fiona. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Poor Henry….I hope he gets redemption from the mining accident which I think he will when he said he can’t get away from his past. I think Rosemary and Elizabeth’s conversation has to do with whatever the pause is. Rosemary’s words have brought so much comfort to Elizabeth and I think this will be more of the same. Finally, the one scene I love from the trailer I don’t think you mentioned was at the end when Lucas is in his suspenders smiling at Elizabeth. Can we just say….wow! Suit vs. suspenders? They both are great. Can’t wait for all of the exciting things you have planned. You are awesome!

I would love for L to be in his socks but if he is he has oddly squared feet 😄. I believe the actual book signing is in the library that day and then L surprises her with the party afterward and the scene with them outside on the bench is after the party because she’s had a long day and needs a breather. I also agree that the fire will be the catalyst for them to become engaged because E will not want to waste any more time. Also, in her scene with Rosemary they are oddly distant and Rosemary has a look as if she’s up to something and is shaking Elizabeth’s hand. E looks confused to me and I’m wondering if she’s completely baffled by some new shenanigans of Rosemary. However, I can see how some would see it otherwise. In the fire scene, would E look as scared if she could see L through the door running the hose? I’m wondering if it’s Mike and someone else running the hose and she’s wondering where Lucas is and if he will get out safely. I feel like if she could see him she might not be as scared as if she didn’t know where he was. Does that make sense?
