Great video! -I think Nathan is spreading his wings a little with Mei Sou and find the whole relationship intriguing. I like her. Not sure we will see a love connection with her just yet, but I sense she's good for him. - As far as Rosemary is concerned, it just feels like baby news of some kind (adoption or pregnant) - Lucas with the Goggles, I'm going to leave my speculation private on this one because if it is what I think then I'd rather the viewers see that. But, it completely goes along with what you said about the pause which I agree with 100%. He has had adventure his whole life and was a tumbleweed because he was left wanting. She is what he's been looking for to complete that need and she and Jack are the adventure that he wakes up for. The love is so palpable in these scenes. It's really lovely. - Now for the ring box. I think it is a ring box. Someone on Twitter mentioned a Cartier box and it does look similar. Doesn't look like cufflinks or earrings and I'm not sure Lucas would tease her over something like that. The door is wide open to the office and Elizabeth is wet, so she's slipped on his jacket because she's cold. Does she short-circuit his proposal by finding a box? Does he already have the box and turn around and it's in his hand? No idea. What I will say is that given the fact that Jack's proposal was so ornate, I'm thinking Lucas's will be simple but beautiful. Lucas IS Mr. Grand Gesture - but he's not trying to wow her or woo her at this point. He's expressing his heart to her, which for Lucas "the clam" involves risking it. Is this the moment? I dunno but they sure have me on the edge of my seat waiting for March 6th!

I am with the others in not being sure about what comes first between Nathan & Mei Sou but will say that N seems more confident & relaxed at the dining table with her than we what we saw the majority of the time w/Elizabeth. So it seems regardless of the outcome, this relationship with her will prove to be good for him. Definitely agree that the hug between R and E has to do with something very joy-filled for Rosemary. Feel it is about her having a child whether it be that she's pregnant or she and Lee have decided to adopt. Also definitely agree that the pause is a function of Elizabeth's concern that Lucas' need for adventure has not been entirely quenched. I would expect E to have at least some residual fear of loss given Jack's death so it makes sense to see that fear manifest as her worrying that she won't be enough for Lucas and, as a result, will lose him. Further, just as Rosemary predicted, once E resolved her ambivalence about Lucas and Nathan, the promos are showing that E has completely stepped into her relationship w/Lucas. Doing so, however, makes her more vulnerable to the fear of losing this man with whom she is so totally in love. Interesting suggestion about Lucas being in the infirmary seeking medical info from Faith. While it makes sense it could be about Henry, unless my eyes are deceiving me, Henry is at the party so I don't know if the timing syncs up. Your idea about it being about Lucas' dad is intriguing. Lastly, not sure about the ring box, but don't think Lucas intended that particular time to be when he proposed. Regardless, he didn't seem anxious about her seeing it or her startled expression upon seeing it so we can rest assured that all will be well and that there will be a proposal forthcoming if not in that moment.

Remember when Jack and Elizabeth were decorating the Christmas tree? The writers made e Elizabeth think that Jack was going to propose to her. It certainly is a writer's tool.

Roxanne! This video is sooo good! As far as the Nathan & Mei Sou thing is concerned, I'm really not sure what comes first. Here are my speculations on the other pieces of homework you gave us :)... I definitely think that Rosemary is telling Elizabeth either that she is pregnant or adopting. And I agree wholeheartedly with your speculation about Elizabeth's "pause". I'm with all of those who don't think that Lucas is proposing in that sneak peek, but I do think that he will propose sometime in Season 9.

Love these discussions! 1- I think Mei Sou is working with Nathan and she just might be a step ahead of him in an investigation which is intriguing to him. This has so many possibilities. 2- yes Rosemary will be adopting and maybe even becoming pregnant soon after she starts the process. This could certainly explain the expression on their faces. 3- no particular thoughts on the goggles, but they certainly tie into the adventure response. 4- I do not think they would spoil the engagement in any way, shape or form. We all know it is coming this season so they will keep that one under wraps for sure. But, this could be a birthday present, like a necklace or bracelet. It could be a present for her book sales going really well. He always seems to enjoy celebrating all her special moments in a grand fashion so it could be anything. Ok first time posting. 1. Mei Sou (?spelling) and Nathan - no idea what will happen with these two but I love it. She seems to be adventurous and fun and will get him out of his shell. Something mountie undercover maybe? I do think there are so many options for Nathan romance wise which is a great thing for the show. I would not give up on Fiona or Faith (but mostly Fiona). 2. Rosemary and Lee are adopting. 3. 100% agree Elizabeth’s pause is wondering if she and LJack are enough when she finds out just how adventurous Lucas is/was in the past. Flying planes/air balloons and travelling etc. 4. The small jewellery box is a season tone setter - so agree - but not “the ring”. Some kind of gift. Lucas knows her and that she is not ready for a proposal - but he will propose by the end of the season. If a different time setting for the show I could even see her trying to propose and then him one upping that. Only other option is someone else left the box at the saloon and Lucas found it leading to a cute awkward exchange for them….but not sure who that could be (Hickam? Avery?). 5. I am a bit worried that Lucas is ill with that letter…But I don’t think the writers would do that. More likely someone he knows is ill with Spanish flu if they honour the shows timeline. Anywhoo, so excited to watch and thank you to you for all your great videos. So fun! So grateful!

Loved all of these predictions! The clip between Mei Sou and Nathan looks promising. She is so pretty! I do not know if she will be his romantic interest but I do feel there will be a great storyline there. He is definitely interested. 💖 The clip between Elizabeth and Rosemary is definitely an important moment between them. I do feel that Rosemary is either pregnant or adopting. Fingers crossed. "You are my adventure...you are my Passion" most definitely refers to the "Pause" in my mind. I do not believe the writers would make Lucas look shady in any way especially with the continued negativity that is out there about his character. I love your theories on the promos. Here's my thoughts: 1. Nathan and Mai. I have been trying to decide what I feel. One thing I know they both seem attracted to each other. Nathan is looking confident and happy, which I love. I don't know why she is there, but I like her interactions with Nathan. 2. Rosemary and Elizabeth. Their friendship is so strong that they are always truly happy for the other. But for some reason, I too felt it was something concerning Rosemary. 3. Elizabeth and Lucas. They are on the balcony of the saloon. It looks like after everyone has left the book signing and party. Lucas and Elizabeth care deeply for Henry, which, for some reason, I thought that was what the letter was about. I could see Lucas sharing that letter with Elizabeth if it is about Henry. 4. I think the pause is because Lucas is such a world traveler and can do so many things that Elizabeth may feel he won't be happy with her in a small town. But Lucas assures her nothing means anything without her. She is everything to him. 5. The box. Well, they are in Lucas's office with the door open, and she is wearing his coat. I don't think he is proposing because that would be a hugh thing in Lucas's life, and he wouldn't do it casually as that. So something else is going on.

I agree with what you said Roxanne. I am glad that Nathan his finally able to ask Mei sou out on a date and I hope they will become a couple, But only time will tell. I am hoping that Rosemary is telling Elizabeth she is pregnant or they are adopting a child but it could be something completely different. I agree with you on the Lucas and Elizabeth 100%. I have a feeling that Lucas will propose to Elizabeth sometime during the season but not in his office with the door open. I think Elizabeth finds the box in the coat pocket and it’s earrings or something like that.

Ok#1 - The Mei Sue Nathan thing reminds me of the romance between Bill and the blond lady he captures. She is a criminal but he really likes her and there was so much promise and attraction there. (Always wish they brought her back for him) I feel like that kind of vibe is happening here as well. Like he will like her but there is a lot to uncover and not always good. #2 - I think the hug definitely has to do with Rosemary and the fertility thing. Either pregnancy or adoption. #3 - Totally not sure about the envelope …. #4 - I think they are teasing a proposal but I think there will be a lot of things between them before that will happen. I don’t think it’s that scene at all. Possibly in the finally and either extremely romantic (like Jacks was) or else it will be something that happens and there is a cliffhanger and we are not sure if she says yes. Or that something happens in the show (like the fire) that delays the intended proposal. Not sure. Thank you for giving us an outlet to express all of these ideas as the season gets closer to starting!!!

I’ve wondered if Mei has something to do with the Mounties and the Pinkerton and she’s undercover. Maybe Nathan knows about it and maybe not. The way Nathan very confidently asked her to dinner, made me think he may know because he’s confident when doing his job. I think the attraction is immediate but it will take time for a romantic relationship to develop. I think Elizabeth watching Mei with Newton says she sees the potential of Nathan having a relationship with Mei. I don’t think Elizabeth is jealous, I think she’s hopeful that Nathan is finding happiness and that will make her happy and relieve her of some of her guilt in breaking it off with Nathan. My first thought when I saw the hug between R & E is that it hopefully has something to do with a baby or child for R & L. I like your guess that it has something to do with Henry. I like your observation about E being afraid that Lucas would tire of living in a small town. I never believed the pause had anything to do with something sinister about Lucas’ past. The box that L is showing E hopefully is an engagement ring. I just pray her answer is not the season cliffhanger! 💍❤️💍

Hi Roxanne! Ok, here it goes. Nathan is a little suspicious and yet intrigued by Mei Sou. I think he asks Mei Sou to dinner to find out a little more about her. It could be that he has observed her talking to some questionable individuals in town. As for the hugs being exchanged by Rosemary and Elizabeth, I believe that Rosemary is pregnant and Rosemary is sharing the wonderful news. It appears that Nathan has received a letter, maybe from his mother, letting him know that his father is ill so he goes to Faith to ask for information or advice. As for Lucas and his adventurous past, I think he has found the person he wants to share it all with. For Elizabeth it will mean an adjustment in her life. After all, she has little Jack to consider. I believe Elizabeth wants to slow down the relationship and learn all she can about Lucas, before becoming engaged. As for the ring box, I think she accidentally found it in Lucas's coat pocket! Whew! So much to consider, Roxanne! But it's fun! :)

But a sweet storyline would be Rosemary & Elizabeth raising their children of similar ages together!💕 I agree that an engagement will happen this season, but I’d be very surprised if this were the moment. Lucas is way too romantic for this to be it, unless something major happened to prevent the wonderful way he has previously romanced her. I haven’t seen the clips of Nathan and Mei Sou, or of Lucas and the letter, so I’m looking forward to it because of your video! You always do such a great job! Don't know what to make of Nathan and Mei Suo...I do agree that Rosemary could be pregnant or adopting...Lucas' letter could be about his family or Henry, or it could be something about himself that could affect his and Elizabeth's future together. 🤔 hopefully not, just something that came to my head. My theory about the wooden box is that it could be an engagement ring, and if it is, and if that letter was something to do with Lucas medically, hopefully he will save the marriage proposal for after he and Elizabeth talk about it, cause I'd hate to see it ruin what he and Elizabeth already have.

I think I am a bit late to the game, but I think Mei Sou is an intriguing character. She definitely made an exciting entrance into Hope Valley and I think Nathan is very interested in finding out more about her. She may bring danger to Hope Valley or maybe she's there undercover to thwart danger. We will have to see. It would be interesting to see Nathan take an interest in her and try to find out more about why she is there. The second storyline with the clip of Rosemary and Elizabeth is definitely about Rosemary and not Elizabeth. Elizabeth did not have an engagement ring on her left finger in the promo pic, so I definitely think it is something happy for Rosemary. Maybe adoption or pregnancy? #3 Lucas with the envelope. The envelope appears to have been already opened when he has it in his hands in the infirmary. We can't tell if the letter had already been opened when he has it next to him on the bench with Elizabeth. He looks very comfortable and just snuggling with Elizabeth there, so I think maybe he hasn't opened it yet? He has a very serious look on his face when he is in the infirmary, so I"m wondering if it is a letter about Henry and his health and he possibly wants to speak to Faith to see what that might mean and how bad that might bode for Henry. It could also be about his mother/father. Perhaps his mother writes to Lucas about something to do with his father medically, and he brings it to Faith to try to help him understand what might be going on. I know that Lucas respects Faith's medical knowledge and her opinion.#4 - About the tease on Elizabeth's "pause", and I agree that I think Elizabeth, as she gets to know more about Lucas and his past adventurous life, thinks that life in Hope Valley and with her and LJ won't be enough for him after all of his adventures. I love that he tells her that she is his adventure and she is his passion. I think she will finally understand/realize that his adventures all these years were diversions for him because he was searching for his one true love and not finding it up until he met her. He did not have a very warm, family connection most of his life, except for at Christmas, which is why he loves that time of year so much because his parents finally took the time out of their busy lives to spend time with him. He's, in effect, been looking for "her" his whole adult life and wanting to be loved and desired because of who he is, not just because he is somebody's son. It sounds like he brought himself up, or by nannies or governesses, and he did a great job seeing what a wonderful man he has grown into. I think Lucas sees her as the whole package, along with LJ. While she may be thinking that she's not enough for him, I'm sure he is still a little unsure that she will agree to the ultimate "I do". I'm thinking that he must feel that way a little bit still from all those years of wondering whether she loves him too and the triangle. She has declared that she has fallen deeply for him, but I'm sure he is still cautious and wants to time things right with her when he gets the sense that she is completely ready for the next step. #5 - the red box - not sure what that could be, but from the little we saw I don't think he would be just casually handing her the box. Maybe they've had some conversations about not needing grand gestures and that the little moments can be more meaningful, but I still don't think Lucas would just hand her the box if it was an engagement ring, even if she found it accidentally in his coat pocket. He does seem to be a bit shy about it, but maybe he bought her some earrings or some other jewelry when she was away in Hamilton and they've had those "little moments" talks already and he doesn't know how she will take him giving her an extravagant gift. I really hope it is not an engagement ring as I'd still like Lucas to make that moment more special. That's just my thoughts and I could be completely wrong. Can't wait to see the new S9!
