She's not making an excuse, she's explaining her behavior. There's a difference, that being one tries to make the act okay while the other merely says why it occured. Yes, she could have killed any number of people from any age group. She could also have gone to the top of a building and dropped big fcking rocks on the people below. Drunk or sober. But she didn't . No point lecturing when it's obvious. Everyone knows driving drunk is illegal, yet they continue to do so thinking they will get away with it. And most do, harming no one. People take all sorts of risks daily that endanger or harm others yet none get the press like drunk driving. For the record, I don't drink alcohol and can't stand drunk people. I've also had friends and family hurt by drunk drivers. I get the outrage. I just think it's overblown. There are other behaviours that endanger people and should get more attention than drunk driving but they don't.

It may be a reason to drink, but it’s not a reason to drink and drive. How about the mom walking her baby in a stroller to the 24 hour store cause she’s out of formula or diapers and you mow her down? I always hear ppl use the excuse “it’s the middle of the night no kids would be out” which is why I used that example. It’s pathetic and it’s no excuse. See a therapist, don’t murder innocent people due to your own selfish entitlement. There is no excuse to drink and drive now that they have shit like Uber and Lyft.

As an Lt.in the fire dpt. you must have heard, at least in your association dinners and meetings, about the horrors of drunk driving. The innocent lives taken or destroyed perhaps. Maybe a few training films. No. Not while you were Karening your entitled way up the ladder of your career. I say double shame on you since you KNOW the consequences of drinking and driving so well and still chose to do it ruining your own career. Then you use the position you are about to lose to try to manipulate these officers into just sweeping it all under the rug. Thank goodness for cameras: because they are putting a stop to that. Plus, there have always been good officers who say no to that.

Literally crazy- both of them clearly have mental health issues. And the guy wearing the blue dress probably has substance abuse issues also- exacerbating his very clear mental health issues. Gender dysphoria is a mental health issue itself- and is usually accompanied by a handful of other mental health issues, and a significant percentage are autistic.. it's wild, sad, and frustrating how these mental health delusions are reinforced and "affirmed" rather than being honest/truthful, and trying to get them psychological help. Someone thinking there's demons crawling from the sewers or other delusions would be told reality and would be repetitively offered help... same with anorexic people who are delusional and see themselves as fat (body dysmorphia), they'd be told the honest truth and would be suggested they get psychological help... I've dated a couple chicks with eating disorders because of body dysmorphia- i know how it goes...

I've been in LE, Specialist Paramedic, US Army Soldier, MP CID SA Criminal Investigator, MP Corrections Specialist, Internment Resettlement MP, MP Detention Operations Expert, Marksmen Observer SRT Special Reaction Team, PSD Agent, worked for DoA, DoD, DoS and DoI, served in 4 wars or conflicts ie First Gulf, Operation Joint Guardian Kosovo/Macedonia, OEF Operation Enduring Freedom GTMO, GWOT Global War on Terror, and I spent 7 years in Iraq on OIF. MY question is "WHY DO FEMALES and some MALES cry??? I've been blown up and everything else, watched buddies die, seen horrific things as a medic and a soldier and I don't just CRY forever for any reason. I don't get what crying does.

Drunk driving REALLY needs to become a felony and it NEEDS to come with jail time, a few months at the very least for first time. Drunk driving is the reason for 28% of car accidents, that’s an INSANELY high number, and unfortunately it’s innocent people that get hurt or killed not the drunk driver

Actually they need consent for a dog to search the vehicle. If a dog alerts on a vehicle but they didn't have consent from the owner that search is illegal and won't be held up in court. That's a common misunderstanding from both police and citizens, officers NEED CONSENT to search a vehicle, dog or no dog.

No, most people who perform the roadside sobriety tests are not found to be sober and let go. Those tests are only used for the officer to gain physical evidence against the suspect. Even if you are 100% sober, those tests will make you look impaired, thus giving the officer further grounds to arrest you.

Yes, it's perfectly normal to go into a mall and leave your money, identification, credit/loyalty cards etc. in the car and then go BACK to the car if you decide you want something. Nothing suspicious about that story at all, lol.

This dude was buzzing his ass off when pulled over. In a small county, after three arrest within a year anytime one drives your rolling the dice with your freedom. Your better off staying at home or moving out of the area until the dust settles. He will tell his mama he made a mistake hoping to get help with attorneys and commissary. Mistakes my ass, He made choices, Bad choice’s and now the Mama’s boy has to pay for his actions.

I’ve lived in Ocala, and honestly this girls story is pretty up to par. O’Malleys is a known place for date rape drugs getting slipped into drinks on the reg and lots of sexual harassment goes down there. Not saying she should be driving drunk but it does impair judgment and if you’re scared shitless of being assaulted I can see where someone might try to; definitely should’ve tried calling law enforcement first or at least an Uber :/
