People who think e-bikes are for fat and lazy people, well fat and lazy people won’t go mountain biking regardless of an e-bike or not, they will just sit around the house all day. Most people I see on e-bikes are older people who can’t ride a normal bike, but an e-bike allows them to enjoy mountain biking with everyone. I think e-bikes are awesome, and I’m a competitive xc racer. Just as long as everyone is on a bike and everyone is having fun, that’s all that matters

As someone out of shape who just got into both MTB and got an ebike, I def can attest to the fact that you are still quite out of breath. The "attack stance" or whatever for like 50ft will leave me out of breath, quads/hammies burning, and like 160+ hr. If I didn't have an ebike there's no way I could do any of what I was doing.

The dirt bike kick start, throttle revving and sound effects part were awesome, I might have to mount a speaker to my ebike to crank that out on the trails :)

I was ask today what I was riding and he looked and said " oh, you ride a old fashioned bike"

This was super funny man. I had a full-powered eMTB, power was epic, but I didn't really like how heavy it was in most situations so I got a Specialized Levo SL. The SL is by far the best bike I've ever owned, I freakin' loooooooove it! You're videos just keep getting better man, keep it up!

Always enjoy your videos. I don't own an e-bike and not really looking to get one yet. Maybe someday. Only 62, so there is time. Also, I just bought a new Esker a couple years ago and love it and don't really have the money to spend on an expensive new e-bike. I know there are probably some good deals to be found on a used one, but if I ever get one, it will probably be new and something like the new Transition coming out or another smaller, lighter bike. All I really care about is that I am able to keep pedaling! Thanks for the entertainment!

Waited until today, Friday, to watch. Figured I'd save it for an appropriate day! That jumping segment at 2 minutes was a thing of beauty! Your humor is so refreshing. The cigarette was damn funny - and I absolutely HATE smoking! Well done on the comedic part. That said, I kinda have to take issue with your premise. And don't get me wrong, I LOVE your videos. They're a riot and so spot-on (usually). But not this one. Right when we really need kids & Americans to embrace the bicycle as a healthy alternative to the motor vehicle, we introduce electric bikes to the masses. I feel this is a big mistake. We're only encouraging more sloth and less exercise. And I'm sure when many kids jump on the newest e-bike, they'll ask, "Why do these things even have pedals?" Why go half way? And the "kick starting your pretend motorcycles & twisting the throttles" only sends the message that, "Gee, we sure wish our bikes were REAL motorcycles!" Sorry, I can't agree with this. Nope, wrong message. BIG swing and a miss, BOBO. The moto and bicycle crowds have always been pretty distinct. The former tends to be on the anti-environmental side of the aisle, whereas cyclists have generally been on the side of the planet. That's a place I've always liked being on, despite the antipathy groups like the Sierra Club show towards mountain biking. Whenever I see a kid in one of those cool motorized toy cars (I would have LOVED one), I get sad. Here's a kid, full of vitality, energy and enthusiasm, being moved around by an electric motor. It's doing every kid a disservice to put them in ANY motorized contraption! Kids gotta ride! And adults probably even more so! I am SO GLAD my parents forbade me to get a mini-bike, then a go-cart, and then a motorcycle. I KNOW they're fun. I KNOW they're awesome. But they have their place. Let kids first fully experience the fun, challenge, reward, hardship, exercise, adventure, and everything else on a PEDAL BICYCLE FIRST! Strong, healthy legs are built by bike! I credit my youthful cycling throughout childhood for having INJURY-FREE KNEES for the ten years I played soccer. And now at 57, my knees are still injury-free and happy as clams! Cycling did this. So this cyclist wants to take a stand against the further widening of our children's collective waistlines and NO ELECTRIC BIKES!!!! And I'm not an anti-e-bike either. I get it. I really do. Especially at my age when all-day mountain excursions are much harder to do. But when you put kids straight onto e-bikes, they miss a really important part of cycling. We'll pay dearly in the future. That said, I do embrace the electric bike for its POTENTIAL to re-make our transportation landscape. I think of all of the truly hellish commutes that could be eliminated by e-bikes. The poor soul-crushing bumper-to-bumper traffic in LA, Seattle, Atlanta and about a hundred other American cities. The backups to the beach in the Bay Area, and oh so many other examples of how we could devote roads to e-bikes and really make urban and highway congestion a thing of the past. Wishful thinking, I know. PS I want to add that I am NOT anti-motorcycle or car. I've had my moto endorsement for over 15 years - BUT I still haven't taken the plunge yet. AND I'm a sports car enthusiast. I LOVE riding and driving fast. It's an amazing experience and challenge. So although I post a LOT of anti-driver rants, I'm not anti-car or motorcycle. I'm anti "motor vehicle addiction." And cycling in Europe and the Netherlands last May further opened my eyes to the United States' insane auto addiction. (I spent a summer working and riding in Europe 30 years ago, as well as have bicycle toured there, so it's not new to me.)

Switched over to an e-bike. Don't worry I'm taking spin classes to make up for it. 😁
