Town of Salem 2 brings new roles, new features, and new life to the world of Salem and the social deduction genre. Join up to 14 other players online and use your wit and abilities to emerge victorious. As a Town member, your goal is to lead your fellow members to victory by identifying and eliminating your opposition. Use your role's unique abilities to reveal yourself as innocent, track down killers, or even take down suspicious individuals. There are countless ways to play and win.
Meanwhile, the Coven, Neutral, and Apocalypse factions work from the shadows, using their own abilities to thwart the Town's efforts. Whether it's burning away dead bodies, blocking Town members' abilities, or going on a killing rampage, each role has its own unique approach to achieving victory.
BetterTOS2 Mod adds 7 new roles and various new content such as Jackal , Auditor , Judge, Starspawn , Oracle and Inquisitor to enhance the TOS2 gameplay. And the mod also comes with various balance changes fixing what was problematic in vanilla,

Oh poor sweet coro. Forever doomed to be a bad role outside of Secret Killers. Maybe you could give it a small buff in that any corpse you autopsy can't be used by necro? But that seems too situational.

Or maybe every person they check has a permanent tag where the coroner knows if any tagged person is the killer of any bodies checked by the coro during the day. That would be a huge buff tho. Might be too op.

@@_-___________ That's already how it works. Coro can find the killer of anybody they've previously autopsied, even if it's a night 1 killer found on night 8

Now that I have attention I will pitch my epic idea of a role to replace coro that has a similar thematic. But not a TI because there's enough TI roles anyway and no one is going to miss coro. I would do this in the BTOS2 discord if I wasn't too lazy to join. Medium Alignment: TS Day Ability: Telepathy. One charge. All whispers to and from you are hidden for the day. (This ability is absolutely being stolen from ToL Mystic lmao) Night Ability: Seance. Visit one dead townie to attempt to conduct a seance with them. You will see the results of all abilities they used and that were used on them (Basically, all system messages they received that night.) Each target can only be targeted once. If Necro or Ret are using the body, you will get Corpse Missing, but will be able to visit that target again. The benefits of this role is that it gives Ret and Necro a new role to fake claim (if you can scumread well enough) and it serves the exact same purpose as ToS1 Medium without relying on people actually staying after dying to collect information from them, and its protected from throwers who might lie to the medium. Or stupid mediums who decide that why yes they totally SHOULD trust the dead evil on who is and isn't town. The day ability is a bit of an auto-confirm button and could result in a "everyone whisper the medium your role d2" meta but Wildling could be allowed to still hear telepathy whispers and not to mention a confirmed Medium is free rit/doom/conj food. And of course we can't ignore how useful this is in letting a TT/Ego Medium reach out to NP/Evils. I think it has potential to be a fun role. Plus it is a good spiritual successor to ToS1 Medium (pun intended)

I totally understand why LO posted. 1) His target wasn't killed, so the evils weren't murderers. 2) He already had his will written. 3) Not posting promptly would make him look sus, and as a TI being confirmed matters... especially so when you are lifelinked with another person on your faction due to the recruitment! 4) Confirming a fellow town and indirectly some evils that he did not care about would confirm him as town. He did end up giving too much information to town, but I honestly don't think he had the time to think about the implications having that strong of an impact. I suspect that they may also have fallen into the trap of forgetting it was pandora gamemode, so they might have instinctually felt they still left the coven that their partner was a part of at their full strength. With the jackal still alive for killing, and a random neutral out there (unfortunately outed by his very own post, but that may have been another realization that did not quite land) there was still a fair fight to be had. Marshal revealing confirmed him, narrowing the list of suspects even further. All in all, I feel it was a treacherous call to make on the spot. It probably looked good in the moment without the time to think through all the consequences.

It’s not very flashy compared to jailor or marsh but it gets the job done. Also I don’t think a lot of people enjoy the role

@@Pam234maybe because every evil focus lo claims to a point I call it lo curse. Once I jailed lo n2 by mistake, there was no sk & berserker kill that night, I wonder why...
