wow.... I haven't seen GirlDM in ages. this model is AWESOME. side note. I expreiance the opposite of this. I looked 20 when I was 16. so I'd be offered alcoholic drinks or I could walk into bars (I did so cause my dad liked to hang out in pubs in his free time) without anyone questioning it.

Some places have a policy to always check ID now. It's dumb but it is what it is. I wouldn't read too much into it anymore. It's not really a thing in bars as far as I can tell, but definitely stores, some things, especially drugs, they HAVE to check your ID or they're fired.

Age is honestly not a thing that most people are good at telling. If I shave, random people think I'm in my teens. If it's grown out some, they are more likely to guess I'm in my 20s or 30s. I'm one of those people who just look young by default I guess; with girls the phenomenon can be even more extreme if their body type is not very "mature" so to speak and they have a clean looking face. Sure once your hair is gray it's obvious, but guessing age off of appearances has never been very accurate when dealing with the 20s to 40s mid range.
