Why is the media trying so bad to blame the last two defeats on haaland ? He didn't even play is the cup , he scored 21 goals he proved himself as a phenomenal striker what do u want him to do more ? He's doing his job perfectly just cuz he didn't score in one or two games doesn't mean he's the problem , he scored 21 times before that

He knows he is the best because he has the best system to win games. Then he puts in so much hard work with the squad to embed his philosophy but the icing on the cake is being surrounded and supported by an amazing team. He knows it doesn't matter what everyone else does. The consistency of the leadership group they have, and I exclude the players in that, means they are more likely than not to succeed with the knowhow built over time. When the group breaks, there may be a decline but its great to hear him so positive. What a wonderfully humble guy.

11:02 Pep explains the football machine he has created requires precision and timing. I would also add for the older players on his squad, fitness. For his machine to function relationships between players on the field are important and when those relationships are disrupted by key injuries or the World Cup , for example, the team suffers as they are suffering now. City put in 1000 more hours in the world cup than any other team in the league. That has had a significant impact on play particularly for older players (KDB) and some younger players (Foden). The layoff for others has been equally disruptive (Haaland and Mahrez). I would argue that Real Madrid's play suffers in the same way, losing el classico to Barca. Hopefully, City will regain their form (Two wins against Arsenal will put the two points behind). But if they don't, they'll be in it to win it next year.
@winterbird4447
@winterbird4447 Жыл бұрын
Same-ish for Lpool. Not the world cup hours but the team requiring fitness (maybe also mental freshness) for the older players for the system to function seamlessly with the precision and timing.

Here’s what Jürgen Klopp would have answered to one of the questions if he’d been manager of MC: “Do I enjoy the problem-solving? Do I enjoy the problem-solving? You’re asking me if I enjoy being 8 points behind in the league? Well, what do you think? *grins his silly and fake Klopp-grin* It’s a lot of pressure when things don’t go as planned. You journalists - you have an easy job, don’t you? Always someone to criticise, week after week. ‘You have the best attacker in the world, so why don’t the team win more games’ - it’s okay, I understand, that’s how it is in this business. We finally have a full squad now though, with Dias and Stones back from injury, so hopefully we can work on the runs needed to create more chances, and not just for Erling. Maybe we can also be so lucky and not have so many strange decisions from VAR and…. *here follows another five minutes of excuses and Klopp-crying*”

We were better with a false 9, which confused most defences and more of the team were attacking, taking shots, and scoring. A false 9 is fine...[if it works most of the time] which it doesn't. Most teams have figured this out now [including current bottom of the table Southampton]...Teams know to smother the passage-of-play between say De Bryune and Haaland. It's started to make games draggy and scrappy....

Im not sure if you understand what being humble is, but its the opposite. An arrogant who thinks is better than all others can never be truly great, there is no room for an arrogant person to be great because they do not recognize their flaws. And that destroys them inside and out, sooner or later.. and Pep definetly recognizes his flaws, more than you believe.

Just count up how many managers lately after Ferguson has totally outclassed the league and made an impact on England as he did in Spain and Germany before. People is just so blind with his hate cause he is at City and not in your team that everyone is so hypocrite and dummy saying no sense when only Anceloti or Zidane has achieve the Champions league in a relentless way like anyone else that's something unrepeatable and dominate the hardest league itw like Pep exactly the same no other manager will ever do that in the coming years for sure

I'm a united fan but that's a silly comment. For everything he's got wrong, he's dominated the most difficult league in the world by a mile. No manager has been this dominant since Fergie. And he won 2 UCLs in 27 years, precisely because of how tough it is to manage in the epl and win the UCL. Arsene went unbeaten in one season and couldn't handle winning the UCL. If pep is in this league for another 20 years you think he won't win it? 😂 Relax. He's made city annoyingly good. I hate it. But it's not tough to be objective.

@@FountainOfYoot As a united fan, I think your comment is a bit superficial i.e lacks depth. There is no denying Pep is a top manager but the plaudits he gets outweight his achievements. City is expected to be this dominant when you look at the resources available to them. They have two top tier footballers for every position. Look at how players like Zinchenko and Jesus have transformed Arsenal. Those are the level of players Pep has on his bench. With that in mind, what team would you expect to rival THAT? Is it Pep's genius that got them rolling or is it the players he's got at his disposal? His entire career, he's always gone to or had the best team. Went to the CL champions in Bayern and failed to help them retain the title. Pep doesn't have one title in his cabinet he wasn't expected to win at the onset. Good manager, bordering on great but he clearly isn't rubbing shoulders with the likes of Jose Mourinho and certainly not the great Sir Alex. How dare you. I'd like to see Pep win the PL with a Tom Cleverly or win the CL with a mid tier club like Porto. Now that's a challenge

You did not dare to take up the challenge to manage a struggling club like united , Marseille etc. Mourinho, Van Gaal took up the challenge at United though !
