Throw done you beautiful guys. We miss you. I so love the Moonglows. To this day I will tell folks, you have to look beyond the Temptations to the timeless appeal of real 'blow' harmony. The real trendsetters.

@boomerang905 I agree.. Bobby was the man. Even Harvey knew that he wasn't in the same league as Bobby as a lead singer, but Harvey was the brains behind the group. Bobby died in the early eighties. Prentiss Barnes and Pete Graves died within a month of so of each other about four or five years ago, and Harvey passed about a year and a half ago. So they're all gone now. Thankfully, we're left with their great music.

Tremendous to see Bobby in this vid. Yes, he and Harvey shared the lead, and so well and seamlessly, but not many vids of Bobby, as he died so long ago. I just love his voice and that hitch in it.

@bluesandrhythm Thanks for that information on the other original Moonglows. They gave Harvey such a great send off when he passed and I agree that he was the brains; it hurts when the 'voice ' is mistreated and died with little notice.. My sister took me to see the Moonglows when I was about six and I remember to this day...how Bobby Lester stood there big as day with the others and my goodness, so cool, charismatic. They were singing "In My Diary". Oh my. Have a good day! : )

Bobby Lester died in October 1980, Billy Johnson in April 1987, Alexander "Pete Graves" Walton in October 2006, and Prentiss Barnes also in October 2006. Harvey Fuqua, the last survivor, died of a heart attack on July 6, 2010, just short of his 81st birthday.
