Tbh, I like to think they were going the all-alien route with the designs, I mean the bayformers designs remind me how in some movies aliens of the same species look very different (especially if said alien race has an insectoid look) depending on their role in their society, so the autobots, who were civilians, workers and scientists, had a humanoid appearance, while the decepticons had claws, fangs, digigrade legs, and generally a more intimidating appearance because they were the warriors of the species.

2:15 Funny that in Bay Movies the Starscream is faithful to Megatron instead of being a traitor to take control of the Decepticons. But in Transformers 3 Dark of the Moon, Sentinel Prime betrayed Megatron and took his post as leader of the Decepticons for a short period of time. Thanks to Primus, Megatron took his revenge on him.

The Decepticons originally formed out of a call for Equality amongst the Cybertronian Classes, but War, Corruption, and Zealousy twisted them into a less than pleasant faction. Yo! Skywarp. Why aren't you higher in the ranking of the Decepticon? I mean, you can litterally teleport, even if you only did once in the originale series and the second time is was when Megatron burrow you power. That would be my question if you bring Skywarp in the next Q&A. For Jetfire: Hello Mr.Explorer/Seeker, can you tell us why during Transformers: Armada you where capable of combining with prime, only making it with other then Prime in the subsequent Energon series and finally skip it all until your sacrifice in RotF?
