Thank you for the great tour. I went to the observation deck of the Empire State Building in 1980 and again in 1997. I regret never going up at night. I am now 61 and I don't see myself getting back to NYC again in this life. Videos like this let people like me at least get a look at what the city has become.

This is very helpful, I'm visiting in April so trying to decide what time to go, but it looks like night time would be super beautiful with the sun setting and buildings lighting up! Thanks for sharing!

it’s probably about 10 to 30 minutes in the line / security check, depending on how busy it is that day

heyy thank you for the video… i‘m planning to go to the summit one vanderbilt in 2 weeks and i really can‘t wait. do you know if its still very crowded or on which days or time it is less crowded?

my guess is that it's become more crowded since it's grown in popularity -- but I think it'll be the least crowded on weekday mornings. sunset time, weekends, and holidays will probably be when it's the most packed.

have fun!! I just happened to meet the artist (Kenzo Digital) who designed the exhibit, by chance a few days ago. he was the nicest guy and recommended lying down on the mirror floor! :)

I would say buy them in advance! There’s a lot of times that are sold out so you might wanna check earlier.

Hey, if you go at the afternoon, can you go up and down while you wait for nighttime?

no unfortunately :( once you leave the exhibit you can’t go back up, unless you have another ticket for nighttime.

@@fuminyc i mean, as ur inside, can u stay 2 hours inside thru the many exibits back and foward? Like from the glass floor to the bar and back?

@@jessicarestrepo4666 you can go back and forth between different exhibit rooms on the same floor, but as far as I remember, you won’t be able to go from the observation deck back to the first room.

@@jessicarestrepo4666 once you go to 3rd floor there’s no coming back since you give back the shoe covers. But you could prob stay long on the first 2 floors since there’s lot of people

Yes it is! I believe it’s open year-round.

sure! I went twice on a Sunday, it was pretty busy both times - my guess is that the weekends are busier.
