You can tell how much he has evolved his game over the years. At the beginning he seems really rash in his tackles. I haven't seen do that yet for Man United. Much more controlled, but still very strong.

As a fan, you'd be worried he might cause a penalty or red card but on the bright side, you have the feeling he won't be easily bullied by attackers and people will have some fear when coming at him

He didn’t get many cards at Ajax. He is hard but fair. Inside the 16 he is more careful. Martinez is fantastic! Miss him at Ajax.

I've been a Man Utd fan since 1963 and I'll tell you all now that with the way VAR is used in the Premier League he will NOT get away with playing like this . The VAR official would bring all incidents like these to the Refs attention and Martinez would be carded every single time .

Very smart and fair player always goes for the Ball. Great passing skill "Beckham style". With his pass hé can put any player in front of goal. His mentality is what is missing at United. People like you guys who are watching youtube videos and judge based on compilations will be surprised what he can do. 65 million is a steal for this players.

@@Flevoman84 This video and others I have watched show that " professional fouls " form a large part of his game , I have no doubt that he is a great defender but in the Premier League his fouling WILL be punished severely . You just can't get away with playing like this in England any more , his game is a throwback to the 70's - 90's .
