I get what you mean, but it’s not quite so black&white. Today more and more people know about their civil rights, because the police has done illegal things for years, like asking ID for walking on a street, without any crime being committed etc. The constitution isn’t easily manipulated and subjective, like the bible. Im not even American, but I know your constitution better than your police force. Troubling.

Everything is a shade of grey, what I mean is you get people misquoting these, using them for their own agenda, especially when it comes to hate. They love to cherry pick! Is great people know about their civil rights and that is what eventually will cause the change, but it is so detrimental and dangerous, it's a misquote things like the Constitution and the Bible because it sends people into a frenzy, it ends up causing so much more damage than good

Worked with a guy like Chad Stoner. Could turn the smallest inconvenience into a massive political debate and headache, a walking, talking miserable sack of rotten tomatoes that would overtalk and bully anyone for the tiniest of things just to feel an ounce of power in his pathetic life. One day he went too far and threatened the wrong person and he ended up getting fired. The entire testing bay turned into Munchkin Land as we were in high spirits and playing "Ding Dong the Witch is Dead" on repeat during our break. I don't know what became of him, but I had a feeling that he either wised up and got the help he needed, or he took his aggressive, anti-authority tirades to the wrong cop and is likely another statistic. I hope for the former, but I'm pretty sure it'll be the latter. Don't miss him.

Conditions like Huntington’s Disease scare the shit out of me. Can you imagine having a normal, successful life, a family, kids, a house, then all of a sudden, 40 years in, your brain just packs up? It’s like getting Alzheimer’s in your 30s. Absolute nightmare fuel.
@SolaireHighwind
@SolaireHighwind Ай бұрын
It's hereditary; it's actually a dominant gene, so if your parent has the gene, you have a 50% chance of inheriting it. You can get genetic testing for it, but if it's not in your family, there's nothing to worry about. In my experience there's a ton of red tape before you can get tested, and I've been discouraged from getting tested due to being a young adult, potential insurance issues, etc. When I first wanted to get tested when I was 16, they told me I wasn't allowed to. It's not just a quick test, either, it's a whole process involving genetic counseling, basically to make sure you're emotionally and socially prepared for the results. I get why there's barriers since it's quite a big bombshell to drop on someone's life plans, but it's still frustrating.

While Joe apparently denied his Huntingtons diagnosis, he shows a lot symptoms like becoming fixated on aggressive delusions. I think it’s safe to say that making “joking” videos about threats towards someone or threats of violence isn’t a good idea because 90% of the time, people will take it seriously. You can say “freedom of speech” or “artistic freedom” all you want but it doesn’t make the boogie men that is the paranoid people go away.

That's what made me think he misses on this video, yeah she might've not meant to threatened like she sounds in the video but it's similar to the previous case, just the appearance of threats and a call to make true threats should absolutely be taken seriously these days. One unhinged follower could've taken a bunch of innocent lives just because of what was said in a Google chat...like she could've taken those threats to the police first and if nothing was done then do a rant about that, also why not mention the reason for the rant in the video...I feel it was a reason brought up afterwards no matter how true to paint her in a better light

@@martinandroid2538 How is she going to pull the "in context" card, when she said a vague "It's open season on these crackers." she didn't name anyone in the video, she said "these crackers" which is very broad, and vague, which makes it seem like she's talking about all white people. She also says, "I didn't say to kill cops." No, but you said to try and take cops guns from then, it's an incitement to commit a crime, which could lead to a shooting, what she did is dangerously irresponsible, and the fact she weaseled her way out of trouble by using her race pisses me off. She probably created more racists through her actions.

Concerning Joe Pacini: I find it alarming that returning a detective's phone call and saying that you arent going back to prison and to leave me alone, led to a police response that did nothing but escalate and exacerbate the situation. In no way did our public servants think carefully or create a strategy that would help the situation. The law enforcement in our country seems to be made up of disturbed individuals, who crave the adrenaline rush of these situations, and have the authority and protection of the DA to act so reckless.

After weeks of not getting it he sent a ticket, jokingly saying something along the lines of "bro gimme this helmet or im gonna commit rope chair". The next day the local police came by and checked on him and told him not to do that again. Then he immediately ran the dungeon afterwards and got the helmet.

Mental health issues can lead to some really scary stuff. My mother, sister and my self all have schizophrenia and being worried about something makes it much worse, here is a personal example. We had bed bugs for a little over a year because we needed to save up to get rid of them, after getting rid of them I was still worried about them, I would have nightmares and due to my mental health I would hallucinate seeing them, like my arms are covered. I have also seen a woman in white walking down the stairs and a pair of red eyes looking through my door crack. I knew none of these were real but some people can't, once my mother was convinced Satan was trying to steal our wood burning stove when I was much younger.

Mental illness is a crazy thing to deal with. Some people think forcing treatment on someone is cruel. Those people who think that way have never had to deal directly with someone who is suffering. it's very heavily dependent on the illness, i have depression, anxiety and bipolar, and thankfully have never had treatment forced on me, but i know some people who were sent to psyche wards against their own wishes and turned out worse because of it. it's absolutely horrible, but for some cases like huntingtons, alzheimers, etc, it might unfortunately be required or preferrable to do so
@involith

like others have expressed, it can be tricky. i think for those who arent in the right state of mind, aka those who in the case they have someone with power of attorney that person would have to step in, pushing mental health treatment is difficult, but can become the only option. for these folks in particular, theyre in a state where they likely are unable to recognize whats wrong no matter how much you might try to convince them, thus all you can do is get them somewhere with professionals who can treat them. they might not like it, but if theyre at risk of harming themselves or others, its sadly the safest option left. as long as treatment is successful, hopefully they can leave and get further help on their own terms, but for the time they cant make safe decisions, unfortunately the decision for care has to be put onto others as for other mental health cases, wherein the patient is cognizant and aware of their health issues to some extent, forcing inpatient treatment can prove to have the opposite reaction, especially if they go somewhere that treats them like the previous and not for where they actually are mentally. i personally fall into this group with my own issues, and while i do all i can to manage and treat my health via medication and therapy, i have had fears of being placed somewhere without my wishes. i fear it because its not the right environment, it puts me on edge and just triggers my symptoms, i only can go for short term treatment during extreme crisis, not for how my health is at its average. ive had hospitalization be used as a threat against me before, and its unwise to create more fear about something that should be for people like mes benefit its complicated and not always clear cut, but overall, trying to work for the patients comfort is the best to assure the safest healing environment, and they should only be taken inpatient if they are in or present some form of danger due to their current state. otherwise, doing outpatient and working with them is best. hospitals can already be difficult with how some providers can be respectful and others just barely do anything, being put there outside of your wishes out of convenience and not even as a last option only drives up that anxiety

Man, that Chad Stoner guy, he reminds me of a guy I used to know. He used to be a chill, good, and wholesome guy, until Obama was elected president, and it seemed like a switch flipped in his mind. He then became an ardent racist, argumentative, and extreme in his views. Like the guy was slowly losing touch with what was going on in the country. I was sadly amazed with how far he sunk. He joined the tea party, and tried to get into local politics, but failed twice in his bids. Well, years later, his wife divorced him, his three sons refuse to talk to him, and he is basically the deranged guy living in a trailer, armed to the teeth, waiting for the government to "take him away". I pity him. Last i talked to his oldest son, a guy who is the complete opposite of his dad, he said his dad worships the ground Trump walks on, and claims to be a soldier for God, even though his dad hated going to church.

I feel for both. Joe had issues, needed help, and was failed by a system that likes to push mental illness under the rug and ignore it. But that doesn't make it any less traumatic for his victim, an innocent bystander who was dragged into someone's delusion. In a perfect world he would gave gotten help early on and she would have felt safe without him needing to die. Also, ignore that first commenter, I'd guess they're baiting you. It's never your fault if someone is stalking or abusing you ❤.

@@s3s_When I was younger I would still notice every single red flag (often within the first few conversations.) I think most people actually do, or at least in hindsight, but simply keep ignoring them. Yeah, I think when people feel bad for him, it's more that they feel bad that there aren't really many other options in cases like this. Or they feel bad that he likely had a nasty disease causing his downward path, one where treatments are limited. They don't feel bad for part of him that was stalking someone or threatening harm. It's not to compare or take away from what stalking victims experience, but everyone involved was a victim of something in this case. Someone had to have noticed his mental deterioration & there needs to be more preventative measures to help or stop someone like Joe before getting to the point of stalking anyone or doing harm. If it's true that he had Huntingtons disease, it's horrible to say, but this was also a better outcome for him. He was likely to get much worse before dying of the disease. The neurological deterioration is truly devastating, and getting overly stuck on ideas/delusions like Joe was isn't uncommon.
