I wonder if the Lakers from 85-86 could have beaten the 1990 91 bulls, they were seasoned, and would have been younger and Kareem was still with them... I'm curious about that, I think in that case they would have beat the 91 bulls
@user-eb5uk3ye5n
@user-eb5uk3ye5n 6 ай бұрын
@@Defender78 I dont think so, it would be a tough game and Bulls are definitely undersize but they have Jordan and thats the difference..Let me explain how good jordan is. Ever since jordan became a Bulls, Chicago has been a playoff team. Think about who he played with from 84-90's. He had no one, he step into a team of coke heads, and turned them into a playoff team. Those were the best years Jordan had statistically. He has been dominating for years before he was a champion. Although he lost in the playoffs for his first seven years he faced teams like the Pistons and Celtics, who are superteams. Secondly the way the game evolved from the 70s -90s makes a big difference. Back then its all about playing under the rims. Its a big man dominated league and thats why u see Russell, Chamberlain, Kareem have the stats they have cause theyre the focal point. But I think MJ changed that. The game evolved and the existance of the mid-range game became a difference maker and Jordan perfected the fade away no one can really stop him. No one played the game like Jordan did, high flying dunks in the early days to becoming a fade-away killer, he dominated. We all know how hard it is to 3peat, jordan did it twice. And all 6 rings, he was the MVP and never lost a championship. There's no way Lakers can beat that. And Jordan also got some help from his 90-91 Bulls team?! Lakers will get 1 out of 7 but Bulls wins the series.

Interesting though is Pistons Dennis Rodman was a villain to MJ and the Bulls. But, Rodman was the okay villain when he was with the Bulls.

At the time most fans and pundits thought of the Bulls as a one-man team. And of course Jordan was by far the best player on the team. The Bulls were also super nervous during game one, which they lost by two points at home. But what really changed the nature of the Finals was game two, when Pippen proved he could guard Magic. After that, games 2-5 weren’t really close. And other players stepped up as well, including Horace Grant and John Paxson. But Pippen was the budding star.

The bulls were great because people believed mike was the best on the team when in actual fact he wasn't, Scottie was! Scottie was who Magic was playing against and got shot DOWN!

Notice that when Magic mentioned the best, Isaiah’s name never came up… Pistons was a great team. You coulda put any All Star Pg on that Pistons Team and they winning.

@@PoliticusRex632part of the game. They had other young good players. Divac, people forget about him. Sam Perkins(also played with MJ in college). And even with those guys injured, they were still favorites. You probably weren't alive to see it.

The media(newspapers and broadcast television, no internet) was gospel. The LA papers had crowned the Lakers the 1st game. The Sun Times(I'm from Chicago) after the Bulls won, printed one word on the back or front of the paper big letters, BULL...

I Miss the days when the NBA was a league of extrordinary warriors. And I’m a girl. Wahhh, I’m all up in my feelings because the league is too soft and the game is so boring to watch now. Bring back the ALPHA league. Please!
