@@viggiestrikes Actually empathy is a very important ingredient. There is always a human face to dry numbers. Not every story needs an empathetic retelling, but in many instances you improve the storytelling with your insight. While it important to tell the next story, classic journalism teaches you to follow-up on stories. But TV doesn't do that due diligence.

We do not listen to her story because she's pretty. We do it because she is one of the few journalists who has the guts to say wrong to a wrong and right to a right. Watched her interviews and they're truly remarkable the way she bluntly asks those questions and with the facts that she has already prepared with her. So yeah, we'll be listening to her despite her being pretty.

They do their part by raising awareness and bringing forward the issue. It doesn't mean they have to live through PTSD because politicians can't do their job. They genuinely can't do it alone. Take for example the mega slums of delhi or Nigeria. I challange everyone of you in the comments who question Palki to change the slums all alone by yourself. Then we will talk.

But in some cases she has not done her research properly on the topic and shows biased information. Nitish Rajput has a dedicated video in which he explained what news agencies, news reporters etc do. They subscribe to a news agency and show that info.

The problem is that way too many people with journalism degrees don't do their jobs as they are supposed too and society is the one paying for it. I have respect for those journalists who will go to the awful places, in horrible situations and report what is wrong with the world, some times risking not only their mental health but also their lives to do so. On the other hand, those that write opinion pieces on things they know nothing about, who believe that the world should be censored to avoid hurting people's feelings, who advocate for the acceptance of every practice, a lot of those detrimental to the society, because "minorities this, x group of people that" and call themselves journalists are a pile of trash.

There are many professions were one has to face SOMEONE ELSE'S hardship and if you have a heart... you WILL feel bad about it. But human beings have mastered the act of (maximum ) shedding a few drops of tears for the needy and then moving on to enjoy their lives coz " thats not my problem and their problem cant be solved. And theres someone else out there who will solve it. Else it them suffer or die. " Its not just the journalists who do their work and move on. All of us move on with our lives after few seconds of attention on the needy
