#TheFBIFiles #TrueCrime #MissingChild

The FBI Files is an American docudrama that takes a look behind the scenes of the Federal Bureau of Investigation's crime laboratory.
Real FBI cases are recounted through reenactments and interviews, due to the sensitive nature of the show, viewer discretion is advised.

Exactly. These two were the ONLY reason the man and little girl were found. Not due to incompetence or fault with the authorities, but due to having nothing whatsoever to go on. And, I’m particularly pleased that the mother called in and report her own son for the crimes. Too often parents don’t see the people their children have become, or they just don’t want to see. I’d imagine that parents would likely feel responsible, or even guilty, over their child’s actions. The mothers of Chris Watts and Casey Anthony are pretty decent examples of that.

Parents everywhere! Teach your children to NEVER tell a stranger they are home alone or that their parents aren't in town. You'd think it would be something that doesn't happen these days because everyone is so aware....but kids do it ALL the time on social media.

Here is a mother who knows what motherhood means, that justice comes ahead of her personal feelings and how a real mother and a good person should act. In forcing her own son to face the consequences of his actions, she saved an innocent life and helped another mother to keep her child. She also very probably saved more mothers and more daughters from going through the same ordeal. Respect.

Exactly to those girls are not street smart. This is a bad reflection on the parents. The teenage girl should never have answered the door. Even when she answered the door, she shouldn't have opened the door at all. She should have just told him to call the number. She gave him too much information. She should have never said anything about her parents being away for a few days. When the teenage girl went to pick up pizza, the other sister opened the door and left the door wide open while she went to give a stranger a phone book. That's ridiculous. My parents used to leave me home alone when I was very little; 8,9, 10 years old, and I never answered the door for strangers or let them in. My parents warned me about letting strangers in.

Honestly a huge reason this case was solved quickly and with a happy ending was because the local law enforcement used all the resources available to them. They didn’t try to solve it all by them self because they thought they could handle it. They immediately used every tool in their book and because of that, this girl is alive! That mother of the offender is amazing too. As well as all the community members that took it upon themselves to help! Thank god people like here exist!

I'm so sorry your mum never believed you thats awful! But thank god you thought quick enough to make a lot of noise & hurt him, that's like self defence 101. You may have been strict on your children but for good reason & if you told them why I'm sure they understood. The worlds a scary place because of the sick scary people in it. The only mistake was letting the abductor know the parents were away. It would have been better to say "My dad will be home in 10 minutes and you can talk to him then". I'd also have insisted on the girls coming with me, or getting the pizza delivered. It's a pity they didn't have relatives close by to stay with or at least check on the girls, and an emergency number for the girls to call if they had any concerns.

Different times. I was left home alone for a week or two at a time, ran a few miles to the grocery store on foot by myself to pick up milk and bread, etc when I was only 8 years old. Was it safe? Probably not. But poor families in rural areas have to make due. Of course, it's stories such as the one here being heavily televised the last couple of decades that has lead to people not doing * this * so much.

They weren’t all 12 years old. The oldest was 16 years old. There are several things that they could/should have done differently. A responsible 16 year old is old enough to babysit her 12 year old sister and a responsible 12 year old is old enough to stay home alone for 20 minutes. The 12 year old was obviously not responsible enough though because she shouldn’t have ever answered the door.

Right??? I was a kid in the 80's to early 90's and the only time my parents went out of town without me and my older sister was when I was 16...almost 17 and my older sister was 18. It was for an overnight baseball tournament an hour and a half away and they took our 12 yr old sister, 10 yr old brother and 7 yr old sister with them. Both my older sister and I had part time jobs and had to work. It was literally the only time they went out of town without me. 🤣🤣🤣 None of my friends' parents ever went out of town without their kids either except for one. Unfortunately, that girl was a full blown alcoholic by 18-19 years old and actually ended up severely injuring an elderly man on Christmas eve while drunk driving when she was about 30. He died several weeks later from his injuries. But thats another story, I guess. 🥺🥺🥺

I admire the mother of the kidnapper for coming forward and informing the authorities that her son was probably the culprit. I cannot imagine how difficult it must’ve been for her. All too often you’ll see parents of criminals who either do not see who their child really is, or they just don’t want to see. Perhaps they feel guilty or responsible in some way. Chris’s Watt’s mother, or Casey Anthony’s mother are fairly decent examples.

I would be interested to know how many percentage of crime happens due to the system letting abductors out of jail after they commit a crime. If it's matter of money and space than it's really sad and stupid. If that man was still in prison or was under psychiatric care with potentially positive outcome (if not, he shouldn't be released), this tragedy as well as many others would not need to happen.

God was sooo good for every other child that is been killed... Sorry. But this God thing is unbearable. When you know so much terrible things happen in the world with humans and animals. Where was God?

The mother was remarkable and sad. I had a step son who was mentally ill and we were helpless we backer acted him he would be medicated and out he would go!! He died at a young age of natural causes but for the familys their is absolutly zero help!! The do goods have destoryed the mental health by saying they can live in half way houses !! They need incarceration for their own good and protection of society!

From all The FBI Files shows that I have seen, this one is the one with a great and happy ending. I am glad this girl was found alive and well despite of what she went through. It could have been worse. God was looking after her and so her Guardian Angel. God bless her always.
