If you citied the 10 ore you would be in a way better spot I think. 6 ore was gna always gna be targeted and you also ended up being starved of wheat most of the game

The big blunder was not taking 9 10 11. You add coordinated roads but more importantly, when blue takes 6 5 11 it blocks up all of the middle of the board. So orange takes 9 10 5 and black gets a really bad 2nd placement.

You're a much better player than me and most others, but my feedback from what I've seen of your recent games: 1) You generally undervalue road materials. E.g. at 2:38 I would've taken 4-9-11, which almost certainly would've left either 9-2-10 or 11-10-3 open as expansions. And not in this game specifically, but in others when 2 or more players are going for OWS you'll still go for it (and often with a worse setup than another player's) rather than going for road or building to 10 2) You often get devs when you should get another city. E.g. after 20:50 mono, when you are safe to keep army for at least 2 more orbits. If you city'd the 9-10-2 you'd be virtually unblockable with little risk of losing army immediately, then can pump out devs afterwards.

Aww man well played. If blue didnt take road on that last turn you had the road in hand on the next roll. I do think the 9/10/2 was a much better city. It doubles your ore and wheat production.

something I would've done myself for initial placements is 10/9/2 point up, then 6/11/3 point down. It's unlikely anyone would settle on 6/2 ore port as no one else has strong ore, so your expansion spot will be locked up, and you have a starting road to get a head start on that development

I think you should have gone for 9-10-11 as u get coordinated roads and you can still reach 5 wheat. There were also lot of 11 rolls this game
