@oddessy1878 I was active duty SF from 02-06 and I knew one white guy the whole time I was in who got one. And that was because he actually went to a dermatologist and they proved that he had the skin condition that required a waiver. And he had to constantly carry the waiver on him all the time because he was always getting spot checked to ask if he had a waiver. NCO's and officers from other carrer fields were even asking him if he had a waiver when he worked the gates and they drove through. First time I went to the desert in 2003 the commander there who was a Lt. Col. didn't like the boonie cap so he ordered us not to wear them. I served with a ginger who was really fair skinned and was getting burnt on the back of his kneck/head all the time from wearing the field cap. They made him go to the clinic and get a waiver to wear a boonie cap! And he got spot checked for that waiver all the time!

religious/cultural accommodations plus black and latinos have that curl to the hair that causes irritation. not saying other races dont get them. Also shaving waivers are PMH so people arent asking to show them as often anymore.
