The difference between Special Forces and the regular Army is everything in Special Forces is voluntary. On any given day you’re going to fill your ruck with rocks and run 10 miles, then you’re going to swim across an almost frozen river and ruck all night through the woods, forget about sleep and you get one MRE. If you don’t want to do it you can just quit, get on the truck and go back to a regular unit where you’re probably going to be ordered to do it anyway. In Special Forces there is no ordering, it’s totally voluntary, you have to want to do it, that’s the difference.

Xchange food court or off post drive through slightly better options. Cannot recall how many times my vet was in various post drive through with No chicken available at KFC, no beef, beans, lettuce or cheese at the Border.. why TF they open? Those were crazy exchanges i overhead while on the phone. Who wanted a tortilla with just sauce or biscuits only? DFAC hours were just as horrible and the day old or expired stuff was gross as hell. My vet is still underweight almost 2 years post service. Still used to only eating once a day. Thanks Uncle Sam

I actually had to deal with this at a strip club once. There was a dude telling girls he was "Air Force security forces, basically Infantry" not knowing real 11Bs were also there. We got him outside in the parking lot so we could chew him out away from the women, and to his credit he didn't try to defend himself, he just stayed silent, apologized, and left.

Years ago, I was a civilian on a military base when the AFB news posted a "first woman sniper" article. I read it and called their office. She was nothing more than a 100 yd designated shooter for the base's MP command. YOU PEOPLE don't impress me.

Uhm…. No. We’re not special forces and neither are our Dagger or Ravens. Our Special Forces are a thing of their own and is reserved for those that have earned it. I’m talking to you washouts and wanna be operators. You guys that wash out usually end up in security forces due to injuries or doing something stupid. You’re not special forces if you didn’t make it, you’re just a gate guard unless you’re patrol certified. Also, no airman should be attempting to callout defenders when you don’t have any clue what our job is or how we operate. Especially when most airmen in any other career field can’t load, unload, hit a target, or even break down their weapons. The guys that can trash talk us are Army and Marines. FYI, Navy has their own MPs as well.
