Hi! I’m Daniel Lombroso, the Producer of “Liturgy of Anti-Tank Obstacles,” and a staff filmmaker at The New Yorker. We’d love to field your comments and questions. To make this film, I paired up with the Ukrainian auteur director, Dmytro Sukholytkyy-Sobchuk, whose work I admired. From the start, Dmytro and I both knew that we wanted to make a war film without showing violence. The hope, instead, was to highlight the new reality of everyday Ukrainians. “Liturgy of Anti-Tank Obstacles” has been selected for over one hundred film festivals, including Sundance and the Toronto Film Festival, and won first prize in the documentary contest at the Huesca International Film Festival, qualifying it for the 2024 Academy Awards.

Last year I saw Dmytro's debut film "Pamfir" and it is one of the best films I have ever seen in my life
