I met someone of Snapchat that had the exact same first, middle and last name of mine, i was genuinely in shock, I mean my fist name is incredibly common so it wasn’t that hard to find someone with my first name and sure my last name isn’t common common but I know celebrities with my last name and my middle name is also not rare but to have all 3 was pretty insane, it’s the same with my sister friend, my mum and her friends mum have the exact same first name, middle name and almost last name with one letter different, (their last name is Holton, whilst ours is Hilton) and also My sister and her friend both share the same middle name, so it’s low-key freaky at times

If the same companies are still popular long enough for it to become a widespread problem with usernames, I would think 2 things to happen. 1. Companies would delete users that haven't be active for a certain amount of time. 2. Selling usernames would become incredibly popular. Also, I don't think the idea of "running out of names" is really a worry because someone that was "popular" back even as close as 1820, probably been fully forgotten by now. I mean that's just the way it is, people don't care *THAT* much about other people 😂

This video reminds me of a guy I knew back in the Xbox360 era who had the name “Soap.” He made the account on the release day of Xbox Live back in 2002. It’s not like he was trying to pick some special name or whatever, he just had an Xbox before live came out and wanted to play halo multiplayer so he bought live on release and just named the account without really thinking. He didn’t even consider that every account had to have a different name, the entire service was new to everyone. He told me that the reason he picked it was because of a friend that he’d often played split screen Halo against. Whenever he’d get a kill, his friend would always call him a “slippery bastard,” so he didn’t even think much about it and named the account “Soap” because soap is slippery. It was that simple. Little did he know what he’d just set in motion. Years later, the Xbox 360 came out. By then he obviously understood that he had a rare name because people would always mention it in multiplayer games. However; that was nothing compared to what would happen when when Call of Duty 4 came out in ‘07. I’m sure the vast majority of people get where I’m going with this. The introduction of Soap Mactavish as the main character of Call of Duty 4; which was the first CoD to truly become the number 1 multiplayer game. The series skyrocketed in popularity and soap was again a titular character in mw2. After this, every game lobby across any game would explode into disbelief over his tag.
