It is pretty different with an Uber driver you're staying in a car ride along. With a cashier it's seen as a generally quick interaction. It's a "get your stuff, and leave once you paid for" mentality, maybe a hi;bye small talk if even. So you gotta be in the right environment. Honestly, that is why Uber drivers make the best therapists, or someone to just be there. Whether it's because you actually care or it's because you have your rating in mind. You listen- and you have time to listen. It's not very easy to listen all the time, so I thank you for being one of the rare gems that do.

Funny thing is, this is seemingly true for English language areas. In a lot of other languages, you only ask this question when you are curious, and not just small talk. @@hughvhgg4891 I’m just now seeing your comment. So sorry for the late reply. The answer is yes and no. My heart is very heavy when caring for some patients because I know no matter what I say or do, their medical situation will only get worse. Seeing them as a person and listening to the their stories makes it hard to carry the load of knowing all the hardships they will continue to face. But, no matter what, I do my part to help them keep on keeping on. I say no because I ALWAYS decompress. I have had to go to therapy to deal with some very tough losses. Most of the time I’m able to separate my work from my life outside of work. It’s imperative we have the ability to separate ourselves from our patients. If you aren’t able to do that, it will drive you out of your mind. I’m not sure if you heard of all the self deletion of doctors and nurse during COVID. Constantly carrying that load and not being able to let it go will do that to a person who genuinely cares and is in this line of work for all the right reasons. I’m thankful I have a wonderful support system in my family and I’m blessed to work for a hospital that provides mental health care free of charge for 5 sessions and a very low cost for any additional sessions. The name of the game is do whatever is necessary to take care of myself so I can take the best care of my patients. For me, it no different than being a mother. I actually refer to my patients as my babies no matter their age. I care for them like I care for my three I birth from my body. With that being said, self care comes FIRST so I can always be at my best!!

This says a lot about society, no one ever wants to talk about how they feel and dealing with other peoples emotions is even more tough cause you could want to help but you know you cant do much in the case of actually helping someone through it let alone dealing with your own hardships.
@Hystial

Not trying to be mean, but this isn't some allegory for modern society's stance on emotional openness: It's a relatability thing for anyone who has ever been a cashier or those who can sympathize
@emperor8716
@emperor8716 Жыл бұрын
@@Hystial er no. griffy makes his videos not just because they're relatable, but because he's trying to send a message. all his videos are deep like that. if only you tried understanding them, you wouldn't miss out like this.
@Hystial
@Hystial Жыл бұрын
@@emperor8716 this is just blatantly false. Some of his videos have a deeper meaning, yes, but a significant portion of them are for comedy's sake. The only message you could argue is wanting comedy to have less societal restrictions, but, even then, that's a stretch for "deep meaning." If only you tried to understand his videos, you wouldn't miss out like this.

So accurate, empathy nowadays has become ridiculous and taboo. psychopathic narcissism not only cherished, but some would call it the recipe for success. Which is nonsense because narcissists are too weak in front of empaths, intimidated by normalising a moderate amount of vulnerability. Anyway, let's see how it goes.

"i could be your last hope but i still won't help you" he's telling yall, if someone you know does this, they're hanging onto a thin rope. listen to them and help them out, you might be their last hope.
