I can relate to this so much. I am 23, and I have been struggling with my confidence here recently. I moved to a new city where I didn't know anyone six months ago, and I haven't felt like myself since the move. I don't dress like me. I don't talk like me. I don't act like me. I feel like a shell of the fun, confident person I used to be. I have been going to therapy to help with it, and it has been helping a lot. Also, for body images issues, I recommend the book Beyond Beautiful. Saw it on Kat Blaque's bookshelf and picked it up. It is really good.

@@clodaghsullivan I don't know about you, but, when one thing goes wrong, I tend to spiral. I just graduated from college and moved for work. I was having trouble with some of my male co-workers, and I didn't have any friends. Then, all these insecurities I have worked so hard over the last couple of years to get over start popping up again. Life transitions are hard, and sometimes you don't have the right skills to cope with them.

Such a small thing, but I was so touched to hear you mention it: I’ve lived in the city for 8 months now, and I trip on subway stairs all the damn time. But I remember one night shortly after moving here I was coming home late and tripped going up the stairs at Union Square. My stuff went everywhere and nobody helped me. I felt so embarrassed and cried the rest of the way home. It broke me. Now, when I trip, it’s no big deal. It’s a tiny way of knowing that I’m becoming more resilient. I’m glad you also mentioned it.

Sadly the world we live in is very competitive, in every way. If we are not competing on our grades at class we are doing it in our skills, works, aesthetic, body types, sports, etc. In order to live in peace we have to stop comparing ourselves with one another (or one self). Listening to what you are saying reminded me of Humberto Maturana, I recommend you to read him. Thank you for your honesty and I hope you continue to grow on your path in life and acquire peace, love and happiness. Hope you are well. Love and light for you.

Everything you know about yourself is just a blief you have in your head. When you have insecurities and feelings that youre not enough in certain aspects I always find it really helpful to think about where this is coming from. Were not born with beliefs so there is a root for everything. You will often find that people or situations treated you a certain way and you took that treatment or mind set into yourself and keep repeating and thus realising it again over and over

I had been feeling kind of meh lately which is weird because I’m generally confident and passionate in what I do, but for some reason anxiety and intimidation has been at the back of my mind. I love this so much. For all my beautiful 20 somethings, coming from a freshly new 30 year old i still continue to feel this way at times. Confidence is a rollercoaster.. sometimes you feel on your A game and some days i’m like fuck i need to get my shit together. Im starting to find the process beautiful. When i feel confident, its such an amazing feeling but when I’m feeling low and not so confident its typically during a transition/growing period in my life. I never want to fully have it together and that is totally okay to accept. So much love for all your girls taking the punch from this thing called life ❤️

I’ve been living in NYC for 4 years now and it’s crazy how living in the city has affected my anxiety. It almost is like you’re apart of the crowd of people rather than standing apart from it. You really realize how little of a shit people give, like when you see someone doing drag in the moving subway car in 7 inch heels, or the same guy walking his pig in the east village more times than you can count

Been going through a slump this winter too. I had a similar uptick in my late teens/early 20s in not caring so much about how I was being perceived and just generally being content in my choices and self. But now at 23 I've nosedived into being very unsure of myself, what I want and who I want to be, feeling that ground I had slowly and confidently built just completely fall away. It's reassuring that a lot of others, especially in a similar life stage as me (early 20s), are working through similar feelings. We will learn and we will see things anew.

Thank you for posting this video. It really helped me because today I was really dealing with my self-confidence. I keep calling my self too dumb and stupid to even go to college if I could not even understand some material from Ap Biology. It just adds up for me and this probably has a bunch of grammar errors but thanks for posting this video anyways.
