Showing you how I've archived five years of Traveler's Notebooks using binders, a self-inking date stamp, and a DYMO label maker! Thank you Jade for asking this question.
Since I've started journaling in Traveler's Notebooks, I've also been using the Nanami Café Note, Hobonichi Weeks, MD Notebooks, and an assortment of pocket and personal size booklets that don't come with as lovely of an archiving system so I'll likely either keep those in a plastic sealed bin or stacked on my shelf by themselves. Would love to hear how you store your notebooks because I'd love some ideas for when I fill more of those up!
If you're having trouble finding any of the products I mentioned in this video, leave a comment and I'll see if I can help you track them down if they're still available somewhere.

I've bought the binders from JetPens and Baum-Kuchen, who has some really pretty photos of them decorated: Regular size: www.baum-kuchen.net/products/travelers-notebook-archive-binder and Passport size: www.baum-kuchen.net/products/travelers-notebook-passport-binder

I am broke, so I made my own binder for my TN inserts. Basically, it's a large piece is cardboard wrapped in fabric that I folded into a spine, front & back cover. Then I wrapped black cord around the spine portion multiple times, to make places to affix the finished journals. It turned out WAY better than I had thought it would! Free too. The nice thing about this is that you can design it to hold as many inserts as you like. It took me 20 minutes, and I am not talented!

I hope it at least helps you get a better idea of what the products are like! Sometimes it can be hard to tell from photos on the online shops.

Those are so cute!! I’ve been using the same type of black dot notebook for my bullet journals for several years, so I have them all together too. I just used a silver sharpie to write the year on the spine.

Ooh, that sounds like it would look so satisfying! I haven't been able to stick to one specific kind of notebook, so I just have to find multiple ways of displaying them to keep things looking uniform like that.

I'm planning to buy this binders when I finished more than 5 inserts. As for now, I just slipped them into the original plastics when you bought them to keep them dust-free.

My filled journals live on a high shelf in my room, accessible, but out of the way. Because the books are such a wide variety of sizes, shapes, and colors, I haven't been able to think of a way to make them into an attractive display. Right now I have them sorted by size, but I'm thinking to put them in order by year and label the dates on the covers, kind of like you did. I'll definitely try to purchase them in a more uniform size in the future, now that I know what I like, although that will likely go out the window if I see a super cute journal in a different size, haha. Long-term I *am* thinking to start using a traveler's style notebook, so this was a helpful video!

That sounds wonderful, especially since I know you've been keeping journals for so long -- it must feel good to look up there and know you've filled so many! I also have a wide variety of journal types and colors and sizes, so I just kind of keep out the ones that look nice together and put the rest somewhere else. Glad I could help! Traveler's Company makes this process easy for their notebook sizes for sure.

@@JournalSunshine Haha yeah, I've been journaling off and on since 1998, so they do stack up. My feelings about the filled journals are rather mixed. I can hardly bear to read the earlier ones, since they document me making bad choices I later regretted, or they're just pure cringe. But it's also a good reminder of how far I've come, and even if parts of my life have been an absolute mess, it's still my life and it's a positive thing to have it documented. Just counted: 19 journals and 23+ other notebooks. That's a lot of writing! So I guess the third feeling is a little bit of overwhelm: there's so much! But after your video, I feel inspired to at least date them and put them in order. Thanks for always having such sweet replies!

I have been journaling for MANY years. I have a bookshelf for all of the different books I have used. Most of them have been stand alone books (my current one is Volume 33 in an A5 Stalogy cut down to standard size). When I wanted to journal in standard inserts, I struggled with how to make it fit my numbering and storage system. I am about to go back to inserts, so my binder (like what you have here) will be labeled Volume 34. My inserts will then be each labeled 34.1, 34.2...etc.. I have done this twice before and like being able to travel with smaller books in the summer but still have one volume for my shelf.
