After an amazing month spent exploring Burgeo and the surrounding Newfoundland fjords, coves and coastline - the weather finally relented and allowed us to head out again, this time back to the East. East, where we get the chance to sail closer to the coast and discover some more majestic scenery along the southwest coast of Newfoundland in winter. The fjords were all but iced over and locked us out so we opted for some of the ice free - and more exposed anchorages. But ice didn't give up there and we find an amazing place to tie Hakluyt up next to a mostly frozen waterfall outside of the iced over bays. Then its on to some more amazing - and almost tropical looking locations that create some stunning visual juxtapositions during the winter months!
