People forget that facebook and google chat were once part of the fediverse when they used XMPP as the protocol. For now they are being forced back into interoperability, but I suspect they will eventually do the same again and move to their own proprietary systems they have total control of.

Small suggestion: add the SR number along the title, helps to differentiate between a 'regular' episode and a patron's QA and to keep track, could add QA + the SR it corresponds to (maybe) to those as well

I could be wrong but from my understanding, General Motors only quit sharing data with two of the data brokers it had been sharing data with but not all of the data brokers it has relationships with

*Warning* DO NOT link any accounts to Meta they ban any accounts connected if anyone reports you for anything (sometimes kids do this cause they think its funny). While you will likely get your meta account back you will never get any other connected accounts back. They either don't know how or just can't. They will provide a link to a page stating to click the appeal button with no button.

Your reporting on GM is IMO pretty easily shown to be wrong. They said they stopped selling your data to two companies, effective March 20th, period. Why didn't they say they stopped selling your data to any company? Hint: Nothing GM says publicly goes out without going to the lawyers first.

The number is a bit too small for me. It's fine when you see it on KZfaq itself but in the notification it's too small, also for me it's almost completely hidden by the rounded edge.

With regards to the Apple M series chip cryptographic vulnerabilities, this was discussed in another Security Podcast and they have already patched this so that the encrypting and decrypting can be done on other secure cores instead of the ones originally designed to take care of them. It's a tad bit slower but it's not noticeable. Apple won't confirm/deny that they have done this but independent 3rd parties have verified which cores are now in use prior to the later OS updates using these chips (Mac Mini, iMac, Macbook Air / Pro and iPad pro) and after the later updates and cryptographic processing is being done using secure cores now to counteract this vulnerability.
