When Thomas fell and worshiped him saying "My Lord and my God" Jesus once again did not rebuke him for saying those things, he rebuked him for not seeing and recognizing it earlier. Jesus also told Satan that it is only God who is to be worshiped and yet he allowed Thomas to worship him which is another proof that he was God. When Jesus said I am not as great as the one who sent me, he was referring to his flesh. He was reminding us that the flesh is a creation of God and is below God, but because He in Spirit is God it did not change his nature as God.
