Where Did This Nostalgic Box Man Wallpaper Come From?

While growing up on the internet, I regularly came across different pictures of a sad cardboard-boxed character. In this video, I'll try and find the origins to some of these nostalgic wallpapers, along with making my own cinematic Danbo photos!

The Amazon Box Man (as I called it back in the day, not knowing its real name) photographs were used frequently as the background images for chillstep songs uploaded by accounts like MrSuicideSheep and 17tumba.

I also noticed that in some pictures, Danbo is in a duo with Domo-kun(square-shaped creature with wide opened mouth). Makes sense, though, both from Japan.

Aww, early 2010s, I remember those years. As an Indonesian, many amateur Indonesian music videos on KZfaq in the early 2010s used Danbo doll wallpaper as the video background, many young people at that time used this as their Facebook cover photo too.

Hey, I remember being at a birthday party in the mid to late 2010s, seemingly past the Frutiger aero, vibrant neon colors aesthetic, etc. It had that design on the carpet which every other play place had in the late 2000s and early 2010s. It also had a shark themed slide, an area with foam ball guns in a net cage, and an area in which there were small tricycles which resembled the small blue chairs we all sat in in the given time period. I think it would make a very interesting and entertaining video and would mean a lot to me if you were able to find it. Love your content!

There are just multiple figures available, some are regular and some are a collab with Amazon Japan. There's also a calbee one and cat ones and some that look like fruit boxes

what puzzles me is why some of them have amazon branding on the boxes while others are blank. I assume it was some kind of promotional version of the figure for the site, so it's not really all that interesting, but I'm surprised it wasn't mentioned.
