Gen 4's pokemon center will always be my favorite, because you can stand directly in the center of the floor ball to save your game.

this really did make me appreciate how much gen 3 did to moving the series toward the modern design

I mean, the Pokemon League probably owns the centers and the marts anyway, so putting them in the same building is probably just a quality of life service by the League. And it leaves more room for people to move into towns or for Pokemon parks.

Regarding the Scarlet and Violet Pokémon Center, I think it suffers from one pervasive programing issue: weather isn’t realistic. Namely, when it rains in SV, it always rains everywhere, including when you are under the cover of a Pokémon Center. I think the PC in SV would be so cozy if you could sit down on the side bench and watch the weather without your character being affected by it. It only requires three programing changes: 1) No weather reactions while in the center. 2) Rain and Snow don’t in the zone of the center. 3) The siting animation shown twice in the main game is added to all PC benches. These changes could all easily be programmed into the game given what the game already shows. The PC is clearly a defined safe zone. All Pokémon that cross into it disappear. Blocking weather animations and player character reactions in that zone should be easy. Sitting down is shown at the beginning and in the interview, so that code also exists and is shown in both behind view and side view. My current favorite is the Kalos Pokémon Center for this very reason. I can sit my character down on the couch near the TV with others.

I was shocked to know people don’t like the galar poke center! For me it did exactly what a poke center needed to be, it had a great design that made it fit in with the region, it also had an amazing function and store that made me excited to check out every time I visited a new town or city, I always go to see what new items they added and loved the fact that you can change the name there, also l always put my pokemon that I wasn’t using in poke jobs while l was using others

My favorite would be the Gen 5 pokecenter due to merging the center and mart being into one building. It always felt like a chore having to run between the two in previous generations.

Being from the UK myself. The galar Pokémon centre I believe are designed to be like a pub. With the brown wooden interior, standing tables and flat screens with the footba....I mean gym battles on.

I really like the Scarlet and Violet Pokémon center stops for how convenient they are, but I would have love if they included a traditional Pokémon center somewhere, maybe next to the academy? It would have been a great opportunity to make it look regal and elegant, maybe have it be the first Pokémon Center of Paldea and that’s why it still remains or something like that.

Great video! I think it’s worth noting however that Unova’s Pokémon center is by far the most convenient. It doesn’t lock any features behind additional cells, like they did in the multi-floor design in Sinnoh. While HGSS was where the multiplayer features were added to the main room, you left out remakes meaning that Gen V is the first Pokémon center where all of the features are conveniently nestled into one screen. Adding the shop into a Pokémon Center makes so much sense considering the two buildings are likely your first stops when visiting any town especially if for the first time. Standing in the center, every utility within is visible on screen. Nurse Joy is immediately present while the pc is only steps away. The shop and multiplayer features are each compact, hardly taking any more space than needed while retaining familiar aesthetics keeping them recognizable. The center even makes room on the left for a cozy recreational space, something they certainly didn’t have to add when you consider just how much is packed into the frankly quite small building. Love the idea of a corporate merger taking place to make it possible, but I will still gladly defend Gen V’s ease of use Pokemon Centers!

I really like the gen 4 center because the inclusion of the international meetup area, it really brings the vibes of "this is a place to fully recover and make some friends"

Alola is my personal favorite. Its easy to navigate and I just love the flooring. Love the tropical feels. Not the biggest fan of Galar’s Pokemon Center but I like the UK pub inspiration. Paldea is neat, I dont think its the best center, but the gas station look makes me smile especially when you ride up in your motorcycle legendary. I also think its neat you can access the Paldea Pokemon Center from the front and back, and theres no more need to load in though it does come at the cost of feeling less like a place you can just stay and chill in imo.

Hoenn’s Pokémon Center is the coziest but I think the best Pokémon Center theme is the Orre one.

I honestly remember Galar's looking nicer, but yeah compared to Alola's they're quite the disappointment. Also the ottomans in Sinnoh really got nerfed from Hoenn.

My one complaint about the Gen 3 Pokemon Centers is that you can't stand inside the middle of the PokeBall on the floor while you save.

I feel like the difference between Alola's and Galar's centers is not that drastic. Galar's actually feels a lot better, the atmosphere is very cozy and relaxing and everything being close together is convenient. Alola's centers have the three stands all spaced far apart with too much empty space in between. Kalos Interior and Galar Exterior goes hard tho I'm ngl

Say what you want about Gen 1's Pokemon Center, but it is one of my favorite generations for multiple reasons: The story, the Pokemon, the music, and the Rival.

honestly i like the galar pokécenter. mainly it is because i am a biased idiot with indeedee as their favorite pokémon and galar as their favorite region but i just like the look of it.

Heartgold/Soulsilver Pokémon Centers are peak, especially the ones with custom designs. The Sinnoh ones are too curvy and disproportionate.

i like sword and shield's one the most. consistency in design is just makes it realistic and pretty

gen 3 had the best i do like gen 7s for the most part but i have never liked how they put the pokemart inside pokemon centers if they replaced the pokemart with some sofas and tables and things then i would say gen 7's is the best, i don't mind the cafe but as is with the pokemart gen 3 beats it by miles hands down not even close

Unova was my favorite. The newest one is just trash -_- Nothing threw me out of a world more than a tiny stand randomly placed around a world with npcs as if they'd be realistically able to maintain a wide open stand like that. Really threw my immersion. Outside of that, Gen 7 was cozy.

Scarlet and Violet just seem so cheap. The Pokemon Centers are just kiosks, they cut going into most buildings, they didn't decorate the interiors of the buildings you can enter, the Elite Four are all in a blank room for Arceus' sake! They performance is terrible, they screwed up the music for the E4 - and no rematches means people that rushed through will never hear that music in that file ever. They had to patch in the opening for the game, and didn't patch in performance fixes with it, the main gimmick isn't explained in the main game - you have to pay half of the game's base price for the DLC to get that explaination - they can fix patch over exploits but not game hurting glitches.

First off: Disagree with Sinnoh's theme being the best. Second: Your various descriptions of certain Centers just utterly baffle me. You tryna sound Shakespearean or somethin', m'boyo? Third: I aiiiiiin't havin' any slander towards Kalos. I won't stand for it. It's straight to the point at what it set out to do, what more could you possibly want other than it looking more prettier?

My personal rankings will be: 1. Alola: bro a hospital needs to have a calm and soothing vibe even if someone is in a dire situation. And also pokemon sun was my first ever pokemon core series games so i love generation 7. And also PCs weren't located in just major towns, they were situated almost on every major route and location even if it was not a town, just like in the anime. 2. Unova: PCs got changed here forever, merging the two most important buildings in every town. They had a more modern feel. You always felt welcomed here. 3. Kalos: the PCs here were a more modernisation of Unova. Sure the lack of windows must make them too claustrophobic. But the cozy sections that they have gotten were much better.
