A friend of mine gifted me a bottle of Moustache EDP and I purchased a bottle of Tuxedo last year. I do agree Moustache is in it's own lane but definitely in the same family as Tuxedo. I'm glad to have both. Moustache goes with the hoodie and jeans during football season. Tuxedo goes with when it's time to go out with a lady.

I got some real bangers in my arsenal and I can honestly say Rochas Moustache is prolly one of my all time favs that I currently have in my collection! I like to say when ppl ask me what it smells like? I tell them just picture if they took the essence of James Bond and made it into a fragrance. This is what you would get

Before last year, the only option that was available was Rochas and we were excited for it. To our nose, it was a dupe of it. Since then the others have entered the game. The game has been stepped up and close is not close enough.

But that doesn't make Moustache a bad fragrance, it's just doing its own thing, I was lucky and got the first batch of 2018. 5 years of bottle maceration also plays a role.

At 35 bottles in, I have concluded that chasing clones just end up wasting your money. Just invest in the originals. I feel that well over 20+. bottles were regrettable waste of dollars. Id rather have 10 greats than 30 par to ok bottles.

I agree, to me moustache by Rochas ain’t a clone of YSL tuxedo, it’s similar in its type of scent and a good alternative if you don’t want to spend on YSL but it def ain’t identical or a clone as the Tux by Maison Alhambra is of YSL Tuxedo. Moustache is it’s own fragrance and it was inspired and targeting the young men crowd with its common overly sweet bomb scent the new generation is playing out that every fragrance house seems so be doing like 1 million, Dior sauvage, invictus, Eros versace etc

I purchased Dua The Tux only because of the hype he gives Tuxedo, he makes you want to buy it, it’s crazy. The way my bank account set up I knew I needed an alternative so I went with Dua The Tux and always wondered how close it actually was. Now I know I made the right choice. Ty again Cuba!

Kismet is pretty legit I wore a few times and it smells amazing and performance is crazy on my skin super cheap too. And I fell like once it starts to masurate it will be in better

@baraaalhashash7436 It's not as good as they say I bought it and regret it the smell is not that good and it's so weak you ... total waste of money. You have to get right up on it to smell it after 20 minutes. If you want a cheap banger get Cremo Spice & Black vanilla I'd pick it 100 out of 100 times over Kismet.

Alhambra was smoother, and less synthetic for me than Dua. Plus Dua was very linear, but I really got the patchouli in The Tux. Like Jovoy Psychedelique level. Definitely didn’t expect it

Out of all the reviewers Cuba got me on to Tuxedo hype. After a sample my man was right, this scent was sexy but waaaaay out the budget but what was in the budget was moustache, which smells alike and still damn sexy 👌🏾👍🏾

Never smelled tuxedo. Bought rochas, liked in air, not up close. Got kismet, smelled better up close, about same in air and lil weaker

I own Kismet and Dua Tux. I love Dua Tux and i've bought it twice. i've bought the hybrids - dua tux + something else. I personally love Dua Tux and it's safe to say it's my signature scent. I tried b/c of your love for YSL Tuxedo.

THE TUX IS very close but projection and logetivoty is not so good given at low price point i dont mind sparying like mad man atlesst 8-10 sprays. Thanks for your reviw, This video couldn't get any better than this, it would be perfect if you could add the TURATHI BROWN by AFNAN

Moustache is a fantastic fragrance on it's own - I love it. But it's more an inspiration of Tuxedo than a clone. For the price The Tux is AMAZING, to me it's 98% the same. Here in Australia Tuxedo is $365... I got The Tux for $89 lol

Even though I have Suits I would have been curious to see what Tudor would be like in comparison. It hasn't really gotten any love. Discount outlet stores has some sub $20 cheapie that is doing well. And Nayel Oud has been reviewed to be a smoother version of Tuxedo but still not as good as Suits. Tudor would be an interesting compare as it is from Maison Pendora which is a great clone house. I wonder why nobody has looked at Tudor more? Huh.

Comparing "The Tux" to Rochas Moustache, I much much prefer Moustache. The Tux faded on me after a few hours and Moustache still smells great on my laundry a week later. Based on my experience with The Tux, I will never blind buy YSL Tuxedo, too much of a risk at that high price and Moustache is hitting that scent profile nicely.

I had the same issue with Lattafa. With time they become lighter. Only happened with two bottles. I think it is a hot or miss depending the quality of the bottle.

One of my go to layering combos: Base of Abercrombie Dark Cherry and Amber then The Tux (or Tuxedo if you have it). A 1:2 ratio is what I prefer. 1:1 will have the Dark Cherry out front.

Why are people calling Moustache a clone? It may be similar or very close, but it's not a clone. It's been out for longer than Tuxedo. The formula changed a bit, but it's no more of a clone than all of the designer blue fragrances that smell the same.

its not YSL Tuxedo is from 2015 and Rochas Moustache Eau de Parfum is from 2018. You talking about Rochase Moustache Original 1949 (or EDT) what is a reformulation fo the 1949 Scent, but this is a citrus barbershop scent.... By the way i have bouth and Moustache is more on the vanilla side and its a absolute great scent, but it is hevely inspired up to a clone...
